History: Thor was born on one of the coldest of days in March, to his parents eager calls. One of the few males born into a pack of primarily females he was also a rarity. Even from birth Thor was massive for his kind. This excited his family and by extension their pack. The pack was a large conglomeration of many sub packs that had been individually taken over by a male named Odyn. His parents named him after the word shouted often by the humans to the sky when it stormed. It fit the dark eyed off white pup. From the moment he could walk he seemed to push forward always looking out for his fellow siblings.
His pack and also Odyn looked on with fondness as the young male grew. And grow he did, rapidly and massively. In short order Thor was looking to be the largest of the wolves in his pack by far. The moment of his first year of life being celebrated Odyn came directly to Thor and asked for him to come with him. Feeling honored Thor left his family and went with Odyn to find out what their aging leader wanted from him. As they wandered Odyn spoke to Thor of the pack and why he had created it in the way he had. In the beginning the packs had been fractured. This broken way of existence lead to much death for the wars fought over hunting ground and petty slights.
It was in this time that Odyn had come to be born and as he was growing up he had seen repeatedly the deaths of the males in battles for nothing more than pointless feuds. It was once his own pack came almost unto annihilation that Odyn decided to raise himself up and make his own pack. However unlike the packs that wandered and warred over the land he intended to instead wage war against their ignorance. He left the lands and fought battles to strengthen himself and during it collected powerful warriors he counted as his own. Once a year had passed he returned and began to systematically gain control of every pack. As he told Thor of these storied the older wolf lead him down deeper into the mountains of his home lands.
Here Odyn took Thor before a cave and told him what purpose he was to serve. Thor was to be his successor. Odyn knew the spirit that Thor had in him and the size of him he knew in time would lend him strength. However he knew Thor needed to be tempered and sharpened like a fang. He spoke to Thor and told him to earn the right to the pack. Thor took the thought deep into himself and realized the trust and respect the old warrior was giving him. He told Thor to go into the cave and only return when he had faced that which lived inside. As Thor entered the cave he did so with his body at the ready. The lingering scent of blood and death played upon all of his nerves. The embers of his warrior that had been there since birth began to kindle brighter.
Thor found the source of the smell in the back of the cave. There a massive polar bear rested on the laurels of its latest conquest. The dead seal body under its massive paws shredded from its bites. The bear looked upon the young male with open malice. As Thor was struck by the creatures size the massive monster reached forward and slammed a paw across the white wolfs face. One claw cut down across his face leaving a trail of fire. From that moment Thor could never really remember what exactly happened in the cave. He remembered seeing a haze of red from his right eye and hearing the roars of the bear as it attempted to kill him. As he came to he stood over the shredded carcass of the massive creature. Its fur painted red with its own blood. On his own body stood many patches of red some his own most the bears. He breathed heavily as he looked upon his first kill of something beyond prey.
The warrior fire inside burned into a massive inferno inside of him as he leaned his head back and bellowed his victory. He then leaned and began to feed on the creature satiating the appetite the battle had brought him. As he did he heard the sky reply to his call of victory. The crash of lightening and thunder brought him up from his meal. He looked to the mouth of the cave and saw no rain. Just the lone figure of a white wolf looking to the sky. As he looked Thor turned and walked to the mouth. As he came into the light of the day the sky shattered with another ear rending crack of thunder. The old wolf looked down suddenly to see the bloody white wolf standing proud looking at him through one eye his dark eye unclouded and strong. Odyn stood slowly and approached the younger wolf. As he reached his feet the old wolf bowed. The simple motion and statement made a resounding impact of the wolfs young mind. Strength was one had and respect was earned.
What followed was Odyn careful tutelage in being a warrior as well as a leader. The old wolf passed on his wisdom to the young white as he healed and made the travels to visit the other packs. While traveling the old wolf picked up another wolf. A half breed gray and arctic named Loke. The odd wolf came along willingly and quickly became a close friend to his soon to be leader. As the three traveled they came time and time again into challenges that tested their edge as warriors. Between the wisdom of Odyn, Thor's strength and battle capability, and the guile and slick tongue of Loke they passed the trials with ease. As they finally set foot in the homelands of the main pack Thor found something amazing. The older warriors and the wolves who hardly could know him bowed before him.
The travels took most of a year to complete so when Thor arrived his scar was healed but gave mute testimony to the wolf's more than capable battle ability. In these lands Odyn continued to teach Thor of what he knew of the world. He taught him of following brave leaders and how to become one in his own time. Loke and Thor became close brothers even as it became more obvious that Loke would never obtain the same rank as Thor. It was not long before Thor's third birthday when humans made their mark on the pack lands. The call came from east and like the leader he had been raised to be Thor lead the scouts to find the problem that had arrived on the pack lands.
This was a juncture that would forever shift his path. As they looked upon the humans who were making their way into the pack lands Thor knew he had little time to do something before the humans found the dens of the pregnant females and caused untold damage to the pack. He turned to his brother in arms and with one final command ordered the scouts to retreat along with Loke. As the scouts silently followed the order Loke held back begging his brother to rethink his foolish plan. Thor smiled and then blessed Loke with one final gift. He gave him the pack. He told his brother to take the pack under his wing and to flee into the mountains as much as they could. Here Thor would make his stand and like the leader he was bred to be protect his pack lands.
Thor left Loke silently crying at his brothers fall as he burst from the trees a massive ferocious ball of hatred. As he slammed into the hunters they panicked. In his rage Thor killed the first human with ease taking his life through his throat. As he dropped the body and spun the hunters began to finally pull weapons on the massive warrior. He took two more of their lives before finally being felled by the many tranquilizers hanging from his massive pelt. The hunters first considered killing the beast but one among them realized the wolf was not rabid as they first believed.
As the realization that this massive creature had attacked them consciously he instead convinced his fellow hunters to let him take the unconscious massive creature back to study. From there he kept the massive beast in a drugged coma. Once he realized there was no way he could possibly keep the beast alive and in the coma he decided to send him to friends in Africa who also studied wolves and would have the ability to keep the wolf in much safer conditions. From there Thor awoke in the remnants of a wooden cage on a beach. This new land would be the place his story would begin again. Would he be a leader or a follower? No one could tell but one thing was for certain, he would leave his mark in history.
Personality:Thor is a massive warrior whose mind is much like his body. He is a brilliant tactician and tends to follow the more straight forward path. Though do to the impact of his semi brother Loke he is no stranger to subterfuge. He tends to be a quiet creature waiting for openings in speech to make his point clear and poignant. His past has made him more than ever a head strong creature of brute strength. He enjoys life though in its many fashions. While not one to lose himself in flowers and butterflies he still enjoys a good story told on the evenings when the packs gather or a joke told at the right time.
However in the end he is a loyal frightening wolf. A warrior of tested strength and an honorable creature. He is a brute but a wise one at that. He has lost much of what he fought for and earned with his strength and seeks to rebuild something of what he had. Whether that be under the path of another like Odyn or at the front of his own pack. One way or another he will rebuild the legacy of his name and of his warrior blood.
