History:[Gonna undergo some minor edits and potentially some big edits too. -shrug- I don't write the greatest histories.]
The blood of a powerful Kairos warrior mingles with that of a sheltered hunter in this little female’s veins, constructing from the traits of one so mighty and feared, and one so beautiful and dainty, the features and the characteristics that will come to identify Artemis. She was born with an unusual marking on her muzzle, something that would have undoubtedly been her universal identifier, had her brother not sported the exact same marking, and had he also not opened eyes an exact replica of her own blue and green. While they’re young, carefree, and still learning, there will be almost nothing useful to tell them apart, but as they age Apollo will show signs of a slight, almost non-existent height advantage. Although Artemis will always be closer to Apollo, closer to her twin, she is not without her two other siblings, Raum, who shall be large like their father, and Dianthe. It’s to be expected that the twins would be the ones to become attached at the hip, to confide in one another like they’re not merely siblings but in fact the exact same wolf, and although Artemis would never think to claim that she does not love her entire family equally, there is no denying that she’s close with Apollo in a way that she will never be able to be close with anyone else.
She can claim to love her entire family equally, and she will support this one hundred percent, she will believe this with everything that she has in her being, but from the beginning she will show telling signs of fearing her father, Goliath, and from there onwards being uncomfortable with Raum, and soon afterwards the entire male population of Kairos, and from there the entire male population of Anikira . . . Apollo will, of course, be the only exception, and though at the end of the day she knows that family is family, and that they could never be replaced - not that she’d ever want to - her heart will never beat steadily, will never not stutter, when she’s in the company of a male. It likely has something to do with the sheer size of the males in Kairos, and how small and feeble she is in comparison, but until she outright opens up about it one will never be entirely certain as to the origin of her blooming phobia.
As time progresses, Artemis will fix her sights upon the title of High Priestess. Colours in her personality will make her not only a quick learner, but a talented worker in the field, and as she begins to recognize the existing need within her to be there for others, she will become intrigued by herbs, remedies, and things of the like, and seek to put what will be her prospering gift to good use within the ranks of Kairos. There’s, of course, the added bonus that this rank will exempt her from breeding and, thus, Artemis will never have to truly overcome her fear of males, though she would never admit that this has anything to do with her desiring the rank, as she’s far too selfless to ever own up to such a selfish train of thought.
Personality:She will adore life’s simplicities, its delicacies, things so often overlooked, like flower petals, the buzzing of a bumblebee, and she will do this because she, too, is delicate like these things. She’s fragile, breakable in a kingdom of giants, and though being looked down upon - not that it can be helped for the poor girl, because she’s destined to live and to grow where the mightier, the bigger, must tilt their chins to meet her beautiful, strange eyes - frightens her so, makes her shudder and quiver in quiet fear of what beasts like them can do to petite wolves like her, she knows her place and would never dare to stand up for herself. Kairos will instill within her a phobia of males, the large, overpowering ones most prominently, and it will begin with her father, the mammoth himself, Goliath, and will continue to stretch and to spread until it contains all but one: her darling Apollo, a brother loved and cherished more dearly than herself. She believes with everything in her heart, everything in her soul, that Apollo would never think to harm her, and for that she clings to him for a security she cannot find elsewhere. She will always depend on her brother, whether for his input, or merely for his protection, and would never think to act without first consulting him. This is merely because she treasures him too much to let him think that she would ever leave him behind, ever forget about him; he could very well become the most sinister, misguided wolf to walk the lands of Kairos, and still she would run to his side gleefully, proudly call him her brother, and make sure that he knew how much she appreciated him.
It will be difficult for Artemis to feel close to anyone, especially since she won’t truly believe that she needs anyone other than Apollo; as they grow and, as a male, Apollo begins training, she will surely begin to feel neglected, but ever selfless and sacrificial of her own wants and needs, she would never think to speak up, and never think to bring a stop to Apollo becoming something more for Kairos than she could ever dream to be. You see, she’s incredibly sincere and thoughtful; she would put her life on the line for a complete and total stranger, perhaps even a male, though it’s of course questionable whether this brand of heroism would or would not be taken to out of fear. Artemis is by far too kind in nature to judge a book by its cover or, in this case, a wolf by its gender, and despite how uncomfortable she will feel in the presence of a male, how clear her wariness will be, how obvious the caution written in her bi-coloured eyes will be, she will not purposefully avoid them in outright terror of what the consequences could very well end up being. She will hate herself for not giving them an equal chance as she will give to her fellow females, and anyone who claims that she is not trying her best to do just that will be lying through their teeth, but it’s much easier said than done for the daughter of Goliath and Tala, and try and she might she will never be able to stand before one that is other than Apollo without showing soft, telling signs of uneasiness.
Her perception and her interpretation of the world is vastly intelligent for someone who is otherwise naïve and foolish. She is much too forgiving of being wronged, of the error in the ways of another, and she will always smile, she will always remain cheerful, even in the face of hardship, of doubt, of disappointment and abandonment, because she knows and believes that it’s the right thing to do. Her own happiness will also come second to the happiness of those around her, and she will be more than willing to burden the depression, the anxiety, and the fears of a thousand wolves and more, no matter how much it costs her in the long-run, if she can make someone else feel happy if even for only a second. It’s uncertain whether or not this she-wolf with a heart of pure gold is, in fact, happy herself despite her everlasting grin, the thoughtful glass that is a blue and a green eye, because she never puts herself first, and she’s so unspoken that her feelings are often not communicated. Let it be known that when she does speak, it’s often something worth listening to, because Artemis has opinions and ideas and beliefs that are so weird, so strange, and yet more beautiful than the most elegant butterfly. Her shell is not something that can be cracked, because she will know how to build it up when she is without Apollo’s shelter, and although she is always friendly, although she is always willing to be that shoulder, she just doesn’t quite understand how to open herself up to a world outside of the one she lives in with Apollo and Apollo alone. She is, of course, also fond of her mother, Tala, in limitless ways, and bonded to her in a such a peculiar fashion that Tala likely cannot even begin to try and comprehend it, but there is nothing like what she has with her brother, and she wouldn’t want it any other way. Nobody else knows her so completely, so irrevocably, and she fears that she would be crushed, embarrassed, and left naked and brand new, suddenly different than once was - that cute little mystery with her own agenda - for the world to unfairly and unjustly scrutinize if that ever changed.
