History:
Arkrael was born to a single mother here in the lands of Anikira. Her puppy life was generally kept hidden within a burrow that tucked away within a tall, hallowed out tree. It was when she first began to open her eyes did she piece together that she was alone outside of her mother. She had two siblings that did not make it pass birth and were simply moved to the far side of the burrow. At three weeks of age, like any growing pup did, Arkrael began to explore and test her limits in play within the burrow. Never being brave enough to actually step out of the burrow she would mostly just poke her head out of the burrow to sometimes look for her mother who would always leave for long periods of time before she returned just to feed her and then be on her way again. Other times it was to see what the world looked like all around.
By the time she was four weeks old she truly learned that her mother just was not very interested in playing. Arkrael would attempt play with her beloved mother only to get a sharp nip on her body that happened to be closest to her mother's jowls. Soon enough she learned to finally leave her mother alone unless she was being allowed to nurse on her mother's milk. From here on out her pup years were relatively boring. With her mother leaving constantly only coming back during the times she felt like Arkrael was in need of a meal, Arkrael had little interaction with anything outside of herself. She had slowly brought herself to leave the burrow and explore the small areas around the burrow she's stayed hidden within.
Upon her twelve week mark her Mother had finally decided to take Arkrael along with her. Arkrael was unaware at this moment that she would never be returning to the burrow. She learned quickly to make sure to keep up with her mother less she wanted to be left behind and with her mother's rather heartless caring Arkrael knew for sure that if she did not her mother would leave her where she was. Despite her mother's cold disposition towards her Arkrael loved her mother and she strove to do everything that would please her. She studied how her mother survived. Her hunting most especially. She had asked several times to assist and join her mother, but all she got was a harsh snarl and words saying she would only mess things up.
Life had continued like this for a good few months. Arkrael doing nothing, but trying to please and impress her mother. Even so much as learning how to hunt from what she watched and practicing on her own to bring her mother little treats. Treats her mother simply gobbled up without even the slightest of appreciation. It seemed like she would never impress her mother and Arkrael soon became depressed about it. Alas, she still tried. Still hoped maybe one day she would earn her mother's love. It wasn't until just a few months of her turning just one years old did she finally find herself alone in such a large world she still knew nothing about. She had gone to sleep on a full mooned night, laying as close to her mother as her dam would allow, but when she awoke that morning her mother was gone.
Arkrael desperately tried to track her mother's scent, but to no avail could she. She was alone. With no knowledge on how to defend herself, or where she should even go Arkrael wandered around simply lost. Seeking something to fill the gaping hole in her. She craved companionship of others. Friends. Family. The things she could never aquire. Perhaps she would find her mother, but the more Arkrael thought of it, the more she grew bitter.
Personality:
To put it plainly, Arkrael is awkward. With the little interaction she had as pup growing up to the age she is now she really has no idea how things go when it concerns other wolves. She doesn't know whether she should happily greet them, or if she should embrace herself for a sharp bite considering all she ever received from her mother was bites and snarls. On top of being awkward she is very timid. Flinching at every quick movement others may make since such a thing was engrained in her since puphood that she was about to be hurt if her mother ever moved so fast. When she does react this way subconsciously Arkrael is prone to grow annoyed and distant, loathing the fact that she would grow so skittish from mere movement.
Much to her bitterness and depression caused by her mothers lack of love, Arkrael has a large heart. There's not many things that she will be aggressive to. The only time she will ever be aggressive is if someone is becoming aggressive towards her. Arkrael also really loves to hunt. The adrenaline that rushes through her, and the tactics she has to figure out and master to be as silent as death just to be able to sink her fangs into her next meal always had excited her, even when she was a pup just starting to try and figure it out on her own. Though Arkrael has a large heart and desperately craves for others she can call family, she keeps her heart completely guarded. The devastation and failure she felt during the time with her mother only showing signs of hate no matter how hard she tried to earn her mother's affection grew too painful for her to bare and she had vowed never to allow such heartache into her being again.
