"A princess doesn't need to mean you have a pack under you. I imagine you were raised to be one without question, so be what you were meant to be. The fact your family is far from you doesn't mean your title is no longer yours." He spoke quietly hoping the softness of his voice would make up for the fumbling way he put his words together.
Musing to himself for a moment, Kenai noted the storm seems to be passing. Soon they would part ways and may never set eyes on the other again. "Fear is powerful. But joy can overpower it. I am glad to have met you, miss. My fears have subsided a little since speaking with you." Of course he still felt nervous and awkward but his form wasn't as tense as before. Practicing speaking with females seemed to help. First Emerald had helped, even becoming a dear friend. Now Avariella had softened his anxiety. He knew he may never be at ease when coming across a new lady but he had learned he could be a little relaxed with time.
This dark place seemed more welcoming as opposed to just being some hard, cold hollow stone he happened to trip into. The echoes of thunder had died down and now the falling rain seemed musical to the brute. "Don't give up on your dreams." He spoke quietly, it was more of thinking out loud than actual counsel. What were his dreams? He couldn't say for certain other than he wanted to find a purpose in life again. His family was gone, there was no one to protect, love or work with anymore.
Maybe a new family was what he needed. Of course, no one could replace his flesh and blood but it could help fill the emptiness within him.
