It was early, but already the little place where her 'family' was resting was growing to be too much for her. The jungle was humid and irritating, making the tiny runt of the litter lift her head slowly and push herself to her feet. She stretched almost lazily, moving carefully away from her sleeping brother, the male that was easily twice her size and dwarfed her when she was curled up against him. Her sister, the arrogant fool, was sleeping a little ways away by their mother. She would have pounced on the other female if she decided that waking her was worth it, but it was never worth it. Instead, she turned away from all three of them, carefully picking her way out of their little nest and making her way into a clearer section of the jungle. She hated this place, more than she hated her family, but she never really had anyone to convey that to. Instead, she moved away from them further, tiny tail swaying gently behind her as even tinier paws struggled to move through the thick leaf-covered floor of the jungle.
She wanted to see the ridge, the borders of the Valyn territory, but she knew that she would never be allowed. Not that her mother really had any control over her. The only thing that wolf knew was how old she was and that she was still bigger. Once she grew up, once she was full sized, she would show them what she could do, what she was capable of. For now, though she had to put up with them all. She had to put up with Silver treating her like a useless and helpless baby, with her mother doing the same, and with all of Valyn seeing her brother as nothing more than a male, a useless, unwanted male. But, she knew why they all treated her like that. She knew she was small, and she knew that she was cute. She had been born that way, and looks had definitely been on her side. She sighed softly, finding herself several yards away from her family and all alone. Finally.
She liked her solitude, she liked being away from the other females of the pack. She only knew a little about their beliefs, but she knew that they held females in very high regard and males the opposite. But she doubted they felt like she did. She was willing to think that they believed that beauty and good looks were only opinions by males and were not important. Perhaps they believed that beauty was nothing more than a burden. She did not think that way, how could she? Everyone believed she was so cute, so helpless, how could she not use that to her advantage? She smirked at the thought, pausing for a few moments to relieve herself on the edge of the place that her and her siblings usually roamed before she moved forward once again to push the boundaries of their typical play area. She had not met any other pups in the pack, but she knew that there were many around. It was only a matter of time before she found someone else around here.
