History: Such a unique wolf had never been born upon Tas'alea.
Neviah was the spawn of two reclusive, elusive loners that still dared to inhabit the island world after its collision with the continental Anikira. Many of the others either dove into hiding or wandered out to the mainland, curious to explore the new world they never knew existed. But Neviah's parents were different.
Her father, Magnus, fundamentally believed that the lands of Tas'alea were reserved for the chosen ones. These newcomers were strange and weak. They were not worthy of the vast resources the island had to offer. At every turn, he was protecting what he thought to be their birthright. These strangers were a threat to their home, and he swore to defend the island to his death. Her mother Laerke was simply a victim of her love; she would follow Magnus to the ends of the earth in order to keep him happy. It was of this strange symbiotic relationship that Neviah came into existence. The only pup of a dying breed, Neviah was reveled as a miracle pup, as she was the first of the mated pair to survive in many breeding seasons. She was marked by the Gods. She would be their salvation.
And so the young female grew. Her vibrant personality bled through at every turn, but Magnus sought to stifle and protect her. She could not be let out into the natural world lest she mingle with the lesser wolves and contaminate herself. She was a precious flower and valued above all else in his eyes. The young Neviah could not stand her father's overprotective actions. She lashed out at every chance, fighting tooth and nail for the freedom her mind desired. Over time she grew to see herself as better than even her own father. Her mother was even worse; Laerke continually skulked in her father's shadow, supporting his every action without question. She was undoubtedly blinded by a misplaced loyalty, and Neviah could not handle it any longer.
On the eve of her first birthday, the young adult slipped her father's watchful eye, determined to branch out on her own and forge her own path. But fate could not be that kind to her. Unbeknownst to Neviah, her mother stalked her for miles, cornering her near the geysers of the loner land. In a momentary flash of temper, Neviah lashed out at her mother, berating her for the miserable puphood she endured. When Laerke resorted to force in an attempt to return her to their den, that was the last straw. The young femme struck out at her mother, a brutal fight rapidly accelerating between the two. At the last moment when it appeared her mother might best her, the crafty femme used the landscape against her. With a well-placed dodge, she watched as her mother dove straight into the geyser, her howls of pain haunting Neviah as she gathered herself once more and headed out in pursuit of a new life.
Personality: Contrary to some of the actions Neviah has taken in her life, she is not a violent wolf by nature. However, she is known to have a fiery temper and very little will cause her to feel remorse. She lives in the moment and makes no excuses or apologies for her actions. Due to her sheltered youth, Neviah has an adventurous and wild streak in her that can only be described as a sense of reckless abandon. She longs for someone to see her for her true self and not as a delicate possession or sign of the gods. She is as far from spiritual as possible and instead dwells on the concrete items of the present. She can be very antagonistic at times, especially when she is challenged or threatened. Neviah strives to be powerful in her own right but wants to earn it on her merits.
While her parents might not have been the picturesque example of a stable relationship, Neviah craves to experience love for herself. With only the figure of delusion and herd mentality to guide her thoughts, she is eager to experience what she thinks love should actually be. However, she is somewhat naive in this aspect which could lead her to fall into relations with someone very unfit for her if she is not careful. This is not to say that she does not respect herself; indeed, it is quite the opposite. Neviah possesses an innate desire to experience emotions as they should be, not as she has seen them all her life. Her desire to be loved and revered is as much a statement of her fortified nature as it is about her lack of true life experience.
Despite being sheltered away from the world, Neviah is eager to learn what it means to be a pack wolf. She secretly wants the companionship of others without the burden of following orders but also recognizes this is not a realistic goal. She acknowledges that she must succumb to some form of leadership due to her inability to fend for herself on a long term scale. However, she has little respect for those who would stoop to lower than what they truly are in order to seek power. Her upbringing has not only crippled her in many ways, but also fortified her in areas she has not yet discovered.
