Everyday was the same. Living in the dark damp caverns provided little fun for the boisterous pup. Eve was an interesting character. Already at three months of age she was becoming quite large, larger than the average size wolf pup. She was hovering past her mother's height and was even beginning to rival her in weight with the ferocious appetite that she carried. She was lanky and darker than the night itself, a picture of her father except for the shocking green emeralds that illuminated her face. A perfect mixture of the two and it seemed that she carried both of their personalities. Her attitude however could be overwhelming to others at time. She could be considered a bully on her bad days, but the sweetest angel on her good ones. She hardly paid much attention to whether she was actually bothering someone, so long as she was having a good time she didn't care. Eve did love her siblings however, and her slightly older siblings that belonged to Mother Messoria. Nimue was just as big as her and Imre, and it made it much more fun when it came to playing. Eve didn't have to worry about breaking her, and it was great seeing someone who was just as big as her. She knew that there was another large female roaming Ina'mos, a pup named Lilith who was the daughter of Mother Datura and their alpha Goliath. Royal blood is what she had been referred to but Eve didn't give a rat's ass about any of that. Lilith, Nimue, and herself were all in the same category in her eyes, and she didn't think of them as any better than her. She only saw them as competition.
Everyone was competition to Eve. Not just the females. All of the males were her competition as well. If she wanted to live up to the high standards of Kaiors she had to fight just as nasty as the boys, if not nastier. Today was a day that she would be perfecting that skill. She was going to the swamps for a reason. Crocidles roamed the damp murky areas of the swamp and Eve was intrigued by them. She wanted to "play" with one and fear didn't even cross her mind. Granted it was a very dangerous game to be playing but one that she loved. Her mother could not discipline her to stay away from the dangers of the land, it was a part of life. And Eve had a smart enough head on her shoulders to know who to pick her battles with. She also knew when to retreat from such an animal. But it was always fun pissing the things off. Today that was her goal. Perhaps she could find an angry mother, now that would pass the time. She was accustomed to sneaking out of the den, she did it almost every morning bright and early. She was sure she would get scolded later on in the evening but she knew her mother secretly didn't care. So long as Eve was staying out of trouble she could have her freedom. She rose silently from between her two brothers and climbed over them. She was the picture of grace and beauty as she moved out of the caverns, tip toeing past all the other mothers and pups. She did not want to wake any of them and risk being caught. As soon as she got outside she was homeward bound. Her long limbs ached to stretch and soon enough she was galloping full throttle, taking off towards the swamp. Her tongue lolled from her mouth and the wind caressed her fur, she even laughed to herself once. She would be damned if she was going to be staying inside all day. She knew she had reached the swamps when the smell hit her nose, it was murky and there seemed to be a bit of fog lying over the land. It was no issue to her however, she needed to be able to adjust to such a thing. She slowed down then, coming to a halt as she tipped her muzzle up to smell the air around her. So far so good, she was all alone which was exactly what she wanted.
