The sun was shining brightly today, pouring down over the island of Anikira and plaguing the world below with the heat of summer. A large white form moved slowly through the grasses and trees reveling in the shade that the valley provided for him. It was not an enormous place like he had heard about far, far away from Anikira, but it was at least some sort of shelter from the heat of the sun and the summer that tortured his back. He silently thanked Elohim that he was covered in white instead of black fur, though either way he would be able to find plenty of relief in the trees down here. There was shade, there was prey, and there was water. It was all that a wolf would need to survive here, and he was here to take advantage of all three.
His head lowered slowly, nostrils flaring as he inhaled deeply to try and pick up any scents - new or old - that might have been caught up in the grass and plant life here. There were a few creatures, a handful of small prey, but he was looking for something substantial to bring back for the rest of the pack, to share with his new family. He still had a lot to learn, a lot to get over, but he was growing more and more comfortable with the wolves that surrounded him every day. After a few moments, he lifted his head, looking around and sighing softly. He would have to travel closer to the lake in the hope that larger prey might have made it's way there to beat the heat like he had. His large paws carried him slowly forward, pale green eyes on the much darker greenery around him as he let his mind wander slowly. It would take at least half an hour to reach the water, so he had some time before he needed to focus all of his attention on the hunt.
He had only really communicated more than a few words with two wolves in the pack. Both Thanatos and Naira he had spoken to, but it was really only Than that he trusted. He knew Naira had joined the pack and was loyal, but she concerned him. She was immature, she was young, and she had too little faith and far too many questions. She would require work and time from them all, hoping to make her feel more comfortable in her own skin and learn her place in Eden. However, he knew that he did not currently have the patience to handle her all on his own. He was not exactly a mentor, and though he would not admit it to anyone - even Than - he had debated pushing her off of the cliffs several times when she had been spewing questions and demands at him only a few nights ago.
