It was exhausting, trying to keep track of all of the consorts of the pack leaders, not to mention keeping an eye on all of their offspring. Not to mention she had her own little monsters to keep track of as well. But Wraith would go to Ultoris soon, leaving her with just Banshee to follow her around endlessly as well. Although the large female was loyal to her pack, she had disliked the task she had been given from the very moment the words had fallen from Goliath's mouth. But she had done her duty, and she continued to do so, regardless of what she wanted for herself. She was the guardian of the highest ranking wolves of Kairos, as well as of their consorts and their offspring. There were so many of them, so many youngsters, that this task was getting rather difficult to uphold. Not to mention that Titan had gone missing and Sabaoth had taken over the rank of General.
Not only had Goliath fathered many litters the previous season, but Titan had also made his way around to give the pack plenty of pups for her to watch. Now that Sabaoth was General, she had even more responsibilities. He had taken Roka on as a consort, a female that was fairly new to the pack and one that she had not yet met. Now she was giving birth, which would give Xena more youngsters to protect. Now, she refused to allow her position to be considered a glorified baby sitter, but she had to uphold her duty to the pack. She would protect them, yes, but she would not mother them or coddle them like a baby sitter would. She knew the adults did not necessarily need her protection, but she would watch over them as well. Especially Roka, now, for she was in a very vulnerable position right after the birth of her litter.
It was late afternoon when she finally decided to pay her newest charge a visit, but there was little welcome in her expression. After all, it was well known throughout the pack that she was not the most social or outgoing warrior of the pack. But she would always do her duty, regardless of whether she enjoyed it or not. That was not what mattered, it was Kairos and their future that mattered. With a soft sigh, the female moved forward and towards the caves where not too long ago she had given birth to her own small litter. But there were fresh scents here now, signalling that Roka had indeed given birth and there were new lives for her to protect. Her pace slowed as she neared the new mother, her head still held high, but ears lowered slightly as she approached. She had not introduced herself to the wolf before, and she knew that new mothers could be very protective of their helpless offspring. "Roka? My name is Xena, Praetorian of Kairos. It is my duty to protect you and the offspring of General Sabaoth. I have come to introduce myself and watch over you and your pups so that you may rest peacefully knowing that you are all safe." She said, doing her best to be welcoming and friendly, but in reality she was terrible at it. The words were forced and clearly strange to her, but she meant them regardless of how they sounded to her or the stranger that laid in front of her.
