The creatures wouldn't be denied their beastliness, as it was likely all they had when to take into consideration their rather unapparent brains - it was what had made them into his perfect targets. That not just one, but two guarded the nest, rarely straying from within a few mere steps from their unborn young, made matters far more challenging, but he knew he could relax because, unlike everyone else that had been tasked with this seemingly impossible mission, he wouldn't be fighting either of them.
It was rather amusing to him: having taken something so important to the elite of Kairos and simplified it to the point it required almost no effort from him. Soon enough he would be able to walk over to the nest, claim his prize, and then make the journey back to Ina'mos; and he was more motivated than ever now that a certain someone would be stashed away on Vor'asa, patiently anticipating his return. The one called Willow made his heart pound with childlike excitement, made his lips spread into an eerie yet true smile, but of course it wasn't for the right reasons, it never was with him - he loved how he would able to use her to further his understanding of the body, its many limitations, but even when the faraway day arrived that his knowledge satisfied him, he still wouldn't let her leave because she was utterly and completely his.
Such a terrible, terrible thing to be.
He observed the pair of Giant Moa's curiously, growing impatient with each second they continued to roam, continued to protect, like the poison running through their veins was nothing more than a mild inconvenience. He was on the brink of going to obtain an even larger dosage, but his thoughts were brought to an instantaneous halt when one of the two unfathomably large birds made a noise almost cough-like; when its eyes grew bulbous, his did nothing but shine with pleasure, and when it fell to the ground with its partner in sync, convulsing, unable to control themselves, they could do nothing but shift their fidgeting eyes with each stride he took towards their nest, watching him carefully take an egg into his mouth and then turn away without so much as a glance towards the frantic parents. He wasn't sorry for what had been done - for him, the only way to achieve what he wanted was through poison, and he believed that more in this moment of prominent success than he ever had previously in his life.
The poison would wear off, and angrier than ever the pair would pose a threat he didn't care to stick around for, but something had caught his eye, rather someone, and he stayed only to test the chance that he or she had seen what just happened, and therefore knew he hadn't succeeded in the way that Kairos expected him to. He couldn't speak with the egg in his mouth, and he didn't dare drop it, but instead waited with an ominous lack of concern for the Giant Moa's rendered useless just behind him; he had conquered them without lifting a paw, and with that in mind, the last thing he thought to worry himself over was a fellow wolf.
