History: As romances go, the relationship that blossomed between Kegan's two parents was fairly average, if not fairy-tale-esque. Though unconventional, the rough-and-tumble Roka was as appealing as any other female, especially so to the Kairos General, Sabaoth. The two shared scars and stories, and fell in a love so deep that even the expectation that the general keep a harem did not deter his mate from staying--though she certainly was not pleased to share him, she would not, could not, leave the gruff male. Before all that, the two consummated their love and conceived four perfect angels, two of the increased size of their father, one dainty female, and a third male--dear Kegan.
Though he was born and would remain smaller than his brothers, the Anikira-native brute would still grow into a wolf worthy of the pack Kairos--though perhaps only in size, and not so much in personality.
Personality: Despite his hefty size and stature, Kegan started and remained a wolf with a multitude of insecurities and fears. His biggest worry, perhaps, was his father the General; Sabaoth, for whatever reason, terrified the small pup from the time he could remember, and that fear would grow and fester as the pup aged, forever haunting him. Another fear of his was the loss of his family, for among his siblings he seemed to be the only one who wanted desperately to interact and be near them constantly, while the other three had different interests. Due to his meek and unconfident manner, Kegan would lament silently about these things and speak none of his concerns, fearing that no one would listen even if he did.
While his brothers attained interest in the typical activities of the pack--namely battle and becoming warriors--Kegan turned his attention to plants, the earth, and the sky. He was infinitely fascinated with the changing of the seasons, the turning of the weather, the way plants would grow and die; the science was a mystery to him, but the young wolf would do anything to learn as much as possible about his environment. When allowed to roam away from the den, the delicate wolf would often lose himself in his surroundings, forgetting to ensure that he was safe from any danger.
Additionally, the poor male would never learn to understand sarcasm, especially the most subtle forms. He would always assume the worst, and did not take kindly to jokes at anyone's expense--though he was not outspoken enough to defend anyone, including himself. Instead he would fester quietly in his sadness, fearing that there was not a soul around who truly cared for him, which in turn would lead to an extreme lack of confidence and growing fear of allowing others to get to know him. As an adult, he would lock his secrets away and speak very little about himself in an effort to retain what little self-respect and joy he could, as letting others know what was happening in his mind never went quite the way he desired.
