If Onyx thought the swim across the ocean to Vor'asa was difficult the first time it would be even more difficult the second time around. This time he would have a precious egg to protect during the process and he couldn't help but feel the pressure to finish the Agoge strongly. By the luck of the gods he had been able to grasp an eagle egg, though not without consequence. He had to hide out among a cluster of boulders for all of five hours before he could pick his way back down the cliff side. His mind was filled with many different thoughts, mostly on what would happen once he made it back to Ina'mos. He could really go for a meal but he couldn't let his egg out of his sight. So instead he had decided to sacrifice eating and made his way towards the shore that had initially welcomed him to the Agoge. He sat on his haunches once he sat before the lapping water and placed the egg gently between his front paws. He stared across the expanse of sea and gazed at Ina'mos in the far distance, he knew it was time. Picking up the egg he cradled it in his jaws and made his way into the water. This time around however it didn't seem nearly as difficult as the first time. His body actually knew how to go with the water instead of against it and he allowed the waves to carry him. He bobbed back and forth, his legs pumping as he made his way closer and closer to his destination. When the sea finally spit him back out on the shore of Ina'mos he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. He then prayed to the gods that his egg would be unscathed. Pulling the rest of his body out of the water he crawled forward before laying his egg down gently before him.
Onyx stared at the egg before him, surveying it carefully to make sure that there were not any cracks. When he was satisfied he pulled himself up into a sitting position and moved closer to the egg, being sure to use his body as a shield. There didn't appear to be anyone else out on the coral reefs at this very moment but there would be eventually. He would call for Sabaoth first as he would be the one to break open the egg and reveal his fate, and then he would call for Mother Datura. Tipping his muzzle back he let out a guttural howl, one with deep undertones. Gone was the fragile pup that Datura had adopted and in it's place was a fierce young male. His body was quite a bit more stocky since he was younger and he sported multiple lacerations, the worst being on his flank and muzzle. The blood had dried thankfully but his shoulder was still immensely bruised from his tussle with the mother eagle and the cliff side. When he felt that his call would reach the ones he sought out he returned his muzzle to it's normal position before glancing down at the egg. Well..we made it.. And now we wait. He watched as the fish darted beneath the surface of the coral reefs, meanwhile he tried not to be nervous. It wasn't like his whole future rested on this moment or anything.. Right? He snorted, he had every right to be nervous but oddly he felt a state of calm come over him. This was when he would receive all of the answers he had been searching for- and this would be the time that he could truly prove himself as a young Kairos warrior. He had found his place in life and would do anything to protect his pack. He would soon be fighting alongside Typhon and Lilith, and hopefully the twins whenever they would make their way back home. Although he had had a brief altercation with Lilith they were beyond that now- and he respected his adopted half sister as a fellow warrior. He would be proud to fight alongside his adopted siblings, as well as every other warrior in Kairos. He could only hope that what was revealed in his egg was not a bad omen; he had come too far for that now.
