General
Name: Ladonna
Birthday: March 21st, 2012
Gender: Female
Species: Grey Wolf
Physical
Height: 30 inches
Length: 47 inches
Weight: 120 pounds
Coat Color: Dull brown; darker along spine. White-ish cream underbelly, socks, throat, cheeks, mouth, and underneath tail.
Eye Color: Dull yellow.
Health Issues: None.
Other Information: She has minor scarring here and there, but they are mostly concealed by her fur. Her fur is neither soft nor coarse. Her body is generally bulkier than the average female's, which makes her a little stronger. If a bulky female could be feminine, Ladonna has got that covered. However, she is not particularly desirably "beautiful" or pretty.
Mental
Mental Stability: Stable in front of others; Unstable where and when no one else sees...
History: As far as Ladonna had ever known, her maternal grandparents were from Anikira. This made her mother an Anikira original as well. As for her father, Ladonna only knew him to be born in Anikira, but he never revealed anything beyond that. Since a very young age, Ladonna suspected that her paternal grandparents must have originated from someplace elsewhere, or that her father had been poorly raised and he was ashamed to admit it. Whatever the case might have been, Ladonna chose to discard that hole in her history at about one and a half years of age.
Ladonna’s parents were loner wolves who went by the names Tove and Maarku. Maarku was a loving father for about a week or so before becoming quite fed up with parenthood. Then, he began to exhibit cruel habits of abuse and aggression towards his mate and children. Tove was his adoring mate, born with a notably strong maternal instinct. She became the center of Maarku’s abuse. Ladonna had two siblings named Judas and Sassa. Judas was a dark brown pup who fought Ladonna for pup supremacy while Sassa, a creamy white pup, chose to stay out of the way. Before she even had a chance to open her eyes, Sassa became malnourished and died due to her constantly bickering parents and siblings depriving her of nourishment and attention. Into their first years of age, Ladonna began to dominate over her brother by refusing his chances to eat and fighting him far dirtier than average. Ladonna would shed his blood and make it clear to him that she would not tolerate his bullying any longer. Maarku looked down upon Ladonna for this behavior and saw Judas as the victim versus the other way around. This could have been because Maarku was rather sexist and believed males to be the superior gender. Ladonna did not receive any open support or love from her submissive mother.
Throughout her young life, Ladonna watched her parents beat each other up while brawling with her own brother. Somehow, she knew this wasn’t normal in the slightest. At one and a half years of age, as previously mentioned as the time she left behind her ancestry, Ladonna completely abandoned her family in search of a better life elsewhere. She wished better for her parents and brother, but now thinks of them as either dead or all dispersed from each other. She tries with all of her might not to think of her deceased sister.
Ladonna learned to hunt and be tough for herself. Despite all of the aggression within her upbringing, she is surprisingly reasonable and wise. She understands life’s worth and what it means to love one’s self before loving another. Perhaps it was seeing so much cruelty towards one another as a pup that taught Ladonna how to not behave or think. In front of strangers and friends, she is stable and strong. Where no one sees, she is a million miles away in the past...
Personality: Born from hatred and passive aggression, Ladonna survived to become independent, loving, wise, and understanding. On the flip side, she is distant, untrusting, and internally debating between the darkness and the light. Intuitively, Ladonna knew strangers would never understand this contrast, so she trained herself to display strength, dependability, and sensibility toward those who would never know her story. In truth, Ladonna really was all of these things, and she chose to bring these flattering characteristics to light where everyone could see.
It was the side of Ladonna that no one saw that she truly feared… Permanently a yearling, dancing through rainfall and singing in the sunlight. A poet, petting flowers and hugging trees. A wounded pariah, preaching moral justice towards those inhabiting nothing but hate in their hearts. This raw, unpolished, neglected side of Ladonna was the side that would never show until just the right time… All the times that actually called for her to be strong and dependable and ready to risk it all. These imperfections were likely inherited from her history. Mostly, Ladonna rejected her passion and her poetic heart, as it only made her look weak. And if being passionate and truly loving taught Ladonna anything, it was that it displayed her soft-side - her blind spot - her vulnerable alter. It invited bullies like her brother, and bullies invited pain and bloodshed… The same kind of bloodshed found within her upbringing.
Ladonna is admittedly afraid of showing her true feelings and thoughts, but she believes to have justified reasons for being so. She says she is afraid of herself, but in reality, she is only afraid of the wolf she used to be within her childhood… Afraid of where she came from and what came of her birth. Maybe someday, somehow, Ladonna will understand her real worth, knowing it does not need to be sought out or created, for it is already within her.
Ladonna finds it excessively difficult to form a true bond with anyone due to to her untrusting nature and knowingly gullible heart. She is very good at socializing and is rather charismatic, making her quite fun to be around. This is a prime example of the “shell” she oftens hides in to make others believe in her positively balanced self. She can become rather paranoid and uneasy around those who she feels she cannot “charm” into believing she is as level headed and sure of herself as she wishes to be.
