Hello everyone! Chili here and I decided that I would post an open thread discussing battle judges. With a lot of conquests and fights in general going on recently it got me thinking about just who should judge fights and in MY personal opinion, I don't believe that staff should necessarily automatically be the ones to judge fights. When you have an occasion where staff are involved in said battles you get questions that arise where are the staff members going to be honest judging or biased due to characters? WELLLL.. I think I have a solution.
Back on one of my old rpg sites I was a part of there was a judging system where ALL members could sign up to judge battles. When there would be a specific battles that arise different members would be chosen to judge the fight, usually 2 judging the fighters and one person to tally points. There would be different questions that were asked of a particular character and how they dealt different attacks, resulting in how many points in each criteria. At the end they would tally up all the points and whoever had the most points would win the fight. The members who were judging would pm their forms to the person tallying and then the person tallying would post the results in the fight thread. I think that this is a really good idea for us to try on here especially considering the amount of staff that is involved in different conquests and battles. I think it would also be a great way to incorporate our new members. Get them involved and have them judge battles. If we create a form they can go off of that and score characters accordingly. Let me know what you guys think but I think this is a great idea and I hope we can try it out!
