Ladonna had never been this deep within the Xayar forest before. The smell of wolf was absolutely everywhere. At least she knew for sure that Hannibal hadn’t misguided her, not that she ever doubted him. He seemed so sure of himself, that wolf. She admired his demeanor. He didn’t allow for emotional indulgences to slow him down. This was something Ladonna found very difficult… Her passions and feelings sometimes overtook her, but she tried with all her might to shove those weaknesses deep down. Whether that actually benefitted her or not, Ladonna wasn’t exactly sure just yet.
The female padded through the forest, her eyes wide with courage and fascination. This environment was so beautiful and dark and cold… Ladonna absolutely adored it. She had a strange interest in mysterious but beautiful concepts. The setting of the world around her contributed to her mental state. She needed to be confident, but she also needed to be prepared to be as respectful as she could towards this alpha. From the way Hannibal described Arche, she had absolutely nothing to worry about. Admittedly, she still had a tinge of nervousness lingering there in her ankles. This was a wolf of power. No doubt in her mind, he was probably much bigger and stronger and wiser and older than Ladonna. She could only be prepared for anything and keep honest and proper.
She came to a clearing in the forest. That’s when a very light snowfall slowly drifted down onto Ladonna. The female suspected this as much. Shyia was considered the coldest territory in Anikira to begin with, so with the arrival of winter and the combined stormy weather the northern regions have been receiving, it was no surprise to Ladonna that she’d be seeing the first snowfall of the year very soon. Now, it was finally here.
Tapping into Hannibal’s last minute advice, she lifted her nose to the falling snowflakes and let out a lonely howl, signaling her location to any near-by wolf. She hoped to attract the alpha male and confront him about her possibly joining the Airila. Her howl was a tenor song, as her speaking voice was already naturally deep. One more thing to add to her not-so feminineness… This never really bothered her anyway. She had been devoting too much energy to mental “maintenance” to worry about her physical appearance. Ladonna tried to focus on parts of her that she could change versus the part she would never be able to change.
