History: Judas was born the first of three pups in his litter. Technically, he had two sisters. One by the name of Sassa and the other by the name of Ladonna. In his mind, however, he only really had one sister. Sassa, a little white pup, died within her first few days of existence. Taking into his father’s declaration, Judas never considered Sassa ever truly alive, and thus, never a loss. Never his fault. Never his responsibility. Never an idol of sentiment. This was the theme of his life: always finding excuses not to take responsibility. This was quite opposite from his living sister’s point of view. While she lives with a slight tinge of guilt writhing about in her heart at the thought of her deceased sibling, Judas had forgotten long ago about the dead thing. Well, maybe not truly forgotten, but he genuinely does not let it concern him. This was the foundation of morals Judas was raised on. Born the only male in his litter, he should’ve been considered the strongest of the bunch. But by normal grey male standards, he was only adequate. Ladonna, his sister, however, was born with exceptional strength by average female standards. This matched the pair up regarding build and behavior for the long run.
As a pup that could romp around and play outside of the den, he paid no mind to his bickering parents. Though they were no easy thing to visually ignore, Judas occupied himself with imitating his father, whom he very much looked up to. His sister, unfortunately for her, would take the place of their mother within their fighting. In Ladonna’s mind, it was torture to be beat and snapped at to no end. For Judas, it was all fun in games. He believed this to be the normal behavior between males and females, and Maarku, his father, encouraged this thought process. Maarku had begun to teach his son that females were inferior to males, and if you cannot find pleasure in their existence you must remind them that you are above them either way. Judas obliviously accepted this as the way of life.
Taking much pleasure and delight in mimicking his abusive father, Judas would relentlessly disrespect both his mother and his sister with no feelings of guilt. But as he and his sister became yearlings, he was in for a major wake-up call. Ladonna fought back, and with no restraint. Judas acted on his father’s will, that females were to be reminded of their place, but Ladonna wasn’t having it any longer. The way she fought was beyond brutal. It was savage. She had damn near killed Judas a few times when he refused to let up. One time, when he went to his father with a profusely bleeding muzzle, Maarku punished Ladonna with a scolding unlike any other. Maarku did not see his son as the victim. He couldn’t have. Instead, he saw Ladonna’s defense as one more reason to look down upon females.
Judas felt very loved by his father. Even after Ladonna disappeared from the pack one day, he saw no wrong in either his behavior or his dad’s. With no one left to bully and his hormones flaring, Judas became very restless within his tiny pack. At two years of age, he brought this up to the one he called father. Maarku no longer cared for his son, and told him to go away. Tove (Judas’s mother) was no longer strong enough to defy her mate, and she never spoke upon Judas’s leaving.
Judas entered the unknown of Anikira with no knowledge of what may be awaiting him. He kept his father’s twisted wisdoms with him. His world had been built on the notion that there was only three kinds of beings: females (which were purely meant for breeding with), him, and those unwilling to accept his reality. Now, Judas only sees his way and no one else’s. He feels no guilt and no sorrow for the things he has done. He might never understand the ways of right and wrong.
Personality: Some may describe him as empty-headed and cold. Perhaps evil or dictatorial. In Judas’s mind, he is perfectly sane. He sees no wrong in the way he speaks or acts. If he ever did, he sees his behavior as perfectly justified. Everything within his past contributed to forming this narrow-minded male. Most of his thoughts are only memories. He doesn’t think independently. Never had Judas ever have an original idea or passionate sentiment. If ever asked about his mother or sister, he’d likely respond with “they deserved it.” If asked why, his defense is “because they were females.” In the case anyone may decide to further the questions until the source of his madness is found, they’d be met with the response, “because my father said so.”
Judas places his father upon a pedestal. All things that his father ever said or did was right. This was the way, and the only way. Judas never once questioned things for the way they were. He could never imagine anyone higher than his father. In fact, he never even wondered about his grandparents or the pain of his mother or sister. Judas is absent-minded. If proven to be curious or intuitive, he would never notice. He is the mirror opposite of his sister. He’ll never know this, but she lives with a lot of hatred and internal conflict. While Ladonna may always play a role in his mind as the ultimate object of worthlessness, Judas does not have the mindfulness to consider her as a valuable individual. He is subject to his instinct driven emotions, and carries very little knowledge with him. Any intelligence apparent within him is very primitive and unpolished.
