It was a chilly winter day, the shining sun doing very little to warm the lands. The season was Yule was drawing ever closer and now that Kiva finally had her own pack again, she was finally excited about it once more. It would be the first time Sasha would get to experience it and she look forward to leading her entire pack through the ceremony. But now, however, her thoughts were preoccupied by something else entirely. This was the third time she traveled out of her pack's lands and into that of another and after two meeting already, her nerves were far better than the first time she ventured out. The fear of her old pack was still there but, it was much more manageable. All she needed was for this last meeting to be successful and she would consider Othala good on allies.
The land that she found herself in was similar to the first time she ventured out but this time, there weren’t as many lands. She could also tell, as a deer ran into the brush up ahead, that these lands were excellent. But, even though her stomach growled in protest, she refused to hunt on another pack’s land without permission. She was not there to start drama and trouble. It did, however, give her an idea. Perhaps Othala and this pack could come together to form an alliance in which both packs have open hunting in either territory in exchange for protection and help. It would benefit both packs and she hoped this one would agree to it.
After she walked far enough in, she found a spot to sit and, starting deep in her chest, a loud howl rang through the lands, loud enough so that it could be heard in all corners of the territory. As she waited, she curled her tail around her and wondered how this meeting would actually go down, if she would be successful in her endeavor or if she would be turned away empty handed.
