Cimeries's background starts long before her birth. Her mother was born to an unfit mother, a creature that did not care for her and allowed all of her siblings to die before they were old enough to stand a chance. Athena was the sole survivor, an unnamed and sickly pup that no one seemed to care for. Ultimately, this led to her being abandoned in unclaimed territory where she was luckily picked up a kindly old healer. She grew up quickly under her new care-taker, though tragedy struck once more and the old healer was said to have poisoned the pack's leaders and was banished. Athena was claimed - against her will - by the new pack leader, the former leader's son. She endured his cruelty for a short time before she in turn poisoned him. Then she left, searching for the banished wolf that she had grown so attached to. She did not find the kindly old wolf, however, and after wandering for a time, she joined the Valyn pack.
It took her a time, but she managed to build a life within the feminist pack. But that life was not destined to last long. In fact, the Valyn territory was conquested by the enormous pack, Kairos, and she and her sisters were forced from their homelands. While her sisters fled, Athena was found by Sabaoth, an enormous male wolf of Kairos. He was the General of the large pack, and an impressive specimen. Athena stood no chance against the monster, and soon she became pregnant, even once the male was gone. She carried the pups to term, but her life was not destined to pursue the future. She died giving birth to two pups, one enormous like his father, and another much smaller female. Cimeries was destined for a hard life, and her genes did not support a strong and stable mind. She was weak at her birth and relied heavily on her brother and father, who returned to take them back into Kairos with him. She would be raised by a stranger, a creature that had chosen to follow Kairos and had closer ties to her father than even she did.
But she would persist. No, she would not give up, even with her tragic past and a future that was uncertain. The little pup clung to her brother, the only true family she had in this life. She grew up fierce and strong, even though she would never rival her enormous brother in size. They were incredibly close and nearly always together, for they were all they had in the world, and all that was left of their deceased mother.
From the very beginning it was clear that the tiny monochromatic pup was different. When looking at the tiny litter, she was on the exact same page as her brother. But compared to the rest of the pack she was dragged into, she was not exactly normal. Sure, there were creatures here and there that were perhaps, unstable, but nothing like little Cimeries. She was, by definition, certifiably insane. If not clear by her obsession with her brother, always staying by his side and finding offense in any other creature even socializing with him, there were other signs of her lack of mental stability. From the time she could move, the little female had fits of uncontrollable anger. The world would go red, others around her would fade into nothingness, and she would rage on and on until her brother managed to calm her. In fact, her sibling is the only one capable of reaching her.
When she is not around her brother - and sometimes when she is - the little wolf has a habit of talking to herself. It is almost as if there is a creature beside her that no one else can see, but she cannot see a figure either. No, the other voices are in her mind, and she converses with them often. Under her brother, she trusts them and follows them unquestioningly. They tell her constantly that she is better than everyone around her, and so is her brother. Though their mother was not a part of Kairos, their father is the General and the Uncle to the Alpha Male. They deserve the best, and no one around them is even slightly above them in stature. She might be small, but she is a force to be reckoned with, especially because she has a habit of being unpredictable and heaven only knows what the voices in her head are telling her.
