Changes have become too severe in Anikira, and the wolves have been temporarily relocated to the Anikiran Southern Isles. Things have grown dire and unlivable on the mainland; it was time for outside intervention. Please be sure to review the full update on the staff board for more information!
The current season is fall in the Southern Isles. Due to their proximity to the equator, the region is still warm. There is currently no breeding and no birthing amongst the wolves
Hyperion was glad to be home, more so than he had ever thought he would be. It was as if all the worries of surviving alone melted away as soon as his feet had made contact with the sands. He had greeted his mother before presenting her his egg, but now he was seeking some kind of peace. His time on Vor'asa had made him forget just how crowded the little island of Ina'mos was. There were already pups from this season and the pack was expected to grow as more mothers gave birth. The amount of young that Kairos produced was astounding to him. His own father had been the culprit of many of the pups from last season. His harem and other endeavors had produced enough pups to forge an empire, not to mention Titan and Sabaoth's pups. They had quite the army of youth. It hadn't taken his mother long to break the news to him that his father and the previous matriarch had left for the continent. Hyperion had never felt so ashamed of his father in his entire life. Strength was something that he had always admired in his sire, but his departure was nothing short of cowardice. The once mighty emperor had tucked tail and run when the responsibilities had become to much for them. The rumor circulating around the pack was that Goliath and Datura had missed the bond they had shared before the packs birth, but Hyperion supposed that it was just another excuse. If his father had really cared for the little female at all he never would have formed his harem. Although Hyperion had always looked up to his father he could never understand why having so many females had appealed to him. Perhaps it was just another way from him to prove his domination to the rest of the packs. He was the master of his warriors and his women. Hyperion had seen the effect it had taken on his mother, Goliath always seemed too busy with pack matters and managing his ever increasing brood that someone always got left out. He feared that his mother had suffered that too much in the past. Goliath would come sniffing about during the breeding season and make an appearance at the birth, but then he would move on to the next batch of consorts and children. Messoria had been heart broken and Hyperion had felt so helpless trying to comfort his mother. He had made a vow to himself to protect her from ever having to go through anything like that ever again. She was worth more than being a baby machine used to make a new generation of warriors. He wished her to be happy, but at what price did her happiness come.
Hyperion had left his mother for the afternoon, deciding to spend his time in solitude. Past his anger he hadn't decided how he was going to react to his fathers departure. They had never been close with the brute, but the fact that his sire had never spent much time with him left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. He had just left his whole pack an his responsibilities to his son who was barely old enough to be an adult. He did not envy Typhon in the least. His footfalls were silent as he continued to walk further and further from the center of the island. He had hoped to return home with as little change as possible, but everything was different. He needed to stand up and be a pillar of strength in a pack that was in turmoil. He supposed that he would run across somebody eventually id he kept pacing about and that didn't bother him. Being gone so long he barely knew the wolves of his pack. Ever shifting dynamics had change things enough that most of his pack mates were total strangers. He had heard rumors of Ultoris pups that had been traded in the pup swap though he had never laid eyes on the femme. Hyperion had always wondered what purpose the pup swap had served, and why male pups hadn't been exchanged. Perhaps it was to mix the bloodlines up a little bit. As it was now Hyperion was related to more than half of the females his age in Kairos. It made sense to him that Typhon would take the Ultoris princess, just to cement the tenuous alliance. He had no idea how the Ultoris alpha would react to Goliath leaving. It seemed the best for everyone if his half-brother mixed the blood as the new emperor. An alpha's son and an alpha's daughter would make a fine match. Hyperion had always thought that he would have to go out into the wilds some place to find a femme that suited him, but that was surely far in his future. He was barely old enough to be considered a male and he was not tempted by the females heat on the island. He was sure that his interest wouldn't turn until he was older. Besides none of the females on the island even sparked a shred of his interest. Perhaps that was just him being stubborn because he didn't want to end up like his father. He would not take anyone who batted their eyes at him. He would find the one when he was ready to and not a moment before.
He chuckled to himself, the sound deep and gruff. That was one of the changes that had occurred during his absence from Ina'mos. His voice had deepened, his muscles had sharpened and his appearance had lost the majority of it's puppy likeness. He considered himself a handsome brute taking after his mothers coloring, but he was not a vain creature. Not at all pretty like his uncle. No he was a manly sort of wolf, or so he liked to tell himself. Despite how the Agoge had hardened him he was still young and had plenty of growing to do. In the months to come he would be tested time and again with lessons that would help him develop into his full manhood. For now he would do the best he could to support his pack and his mother. Before he could turn back to return to his mother he caught a sweet smell he couldn't quite place. It obviously belonged to a stranger, but it was faint enough just to tickle Hyperion's senses. Just enough to prick his curiosity. He wanted to find out just who this person was and why they were out here all by themselves. "Come on out."
A lot had changed since the young Red she wolf cross had come to the mighty pack named as Kairos. First off, Xena, who had deemed to be the one to raise had disappeared without a trace. Though in a way, Xena was kind of like a mother to her, the Tundra she wolf’s disappearance didn’t bother her at all for Naivara never developed any kind of attachment to her. Whereas her birth mother Vixen was calm and loving, Xena was rather cold and emotionless and it didn’t seem like the now yearling could please her no matter what she did. Being raised by a Kairos wolf was supposed to help her feel more welcomed into Kairos, but it did the exact opposite for she felt like as much of a stranger to the pack as when she did upon first arriving here.
Another thing that had changed was that the previous alpha whose name was Goliath had left his pack to his son Typhon. She had only met Goliath once which was when her father had brought her to the once Alpha to complete the pup swap for the current breeding season. The previous Alpha’s leave caused quite a bit of turmoil within the pack itself. Naivara didn’t have an opinion of her own and nor did she really care to get involved in such politics because Goliath’s departure didn’t affect her in the slightest bit. Heck, as far as Naivara was concerned, she was just like a ghost in the shadows with very few knowing about her existence and she’d prefer to keep it that way, at least for now.
The one good thing about Kairos was that they owned a lot of land which made it easy for the small she wolf to remain hidden from others and her journey through the various lands caused her to swim across the sea and wind up on an island that was apparently called Ina’mos and that was where she has been for these past few days. After exploring the small island she deemed that her place of choice was going to be the area known as Liandry Falls. Not only was it a beautiful sight with the waterfall that was nestled into the cliff but it was also, in a way, quite relaxing because Naivara loved listening to the sounds of the water falling down from the cliff into the body of water that laid below it and today, she was doing just that, that is, until a scent of another wolf entered her nostrils causing her to immediately retreat into the bushes that were right behind her.
Once she was nestled well enough behind the bushes, Naivara did her best to peak through the foliage to see who it was that caused her to flee. At first, all the yearling could see was a huge black mass, but as the figure approached closer to where she was, the black mass came into focus. Blue eyes widened as she slightly gaped her mouth at the size of the brute who had just entered the area. Though this ebony brute wasn’t as big as Goliath, he was still astonishingly big. The floppy eared she wolf had heard the stories of the spawns that Goliath and two other males had produced and how they were big, but she didn’t think that they would be this big. Despite his size, Naivara was able to tell that the brute was around her age, if not slightly older.
"Come on out," said a deep voice.
Seeing as though the ebony brute and she were the only wolves here, it was obvious that that voice belonged to the large wolf and he had detected her presence. The last thing Naivara wanted to do was to reveal herself because of two reasons. One, she was shy and two, she had no idea what the brute’s intentions were. He definitely outsized her and could easily do anything he wanted to her, but if the wolf had ill intentions, he easily be able to act on them whether she remained hidden or not since he obviously knew where she was hiding. She had no other choice but to come out of the bushes that she had been hiding behind.
“Hello,” she said in a shaky voice to the massive stranger that was just a couple feet away from her.

[attr="class","pltxt"]Hyperion looked at the unfamiliar femme, curiosity glittering in his emerald eyes. She was a tiny little bit of a thing with the most distracting floppy ears. He didn't think he had ever met her before this moment for surely he would never be able to forget those eyes. Crystalline blues staring up at him. A rumble deep from his chest came out when he looked the rest of her over. She was definitely too small for him, but damn she was pretty. So innocent and sweet and so obviously his. Hyperion shook his head trying to banish the though. His possessiveness shouldn't have surprised him considering who his sire was, so he let it go for the moment. He wouldn't try to deny that he wanted her, there would be no point in the lie. Even if she didn't know it now he was very determined to make her his. Hyperion rumbled again, low in his chest, before speaking again. "Come here." His demand was simple and to the point, absolute. His voice was deep and gruff nd he spoke in a tone that suggested she not refuse him. He wouldn't hurt her, that thought never crossing his mind. In all honesty he wanted to get her closer to him so he could get a better sense of her. She was too young to breed so he had no doubt that she had not been claimed physically, but he had to be sure. He had been gone a long time during the completion of his Agoge so it was completely possible that she belonged to another. Perhaps even by one of his own relatives. There were so many other young males on this island that the few number of available females within Kairos would no doubt be claimed with all haste as they reached maturity. She could have her pick of many suitors in Kairos. He would show her that he was the only male for her, he would not allow anyone else to take her.
He had never felt this way, not once in his whole life. With his mother and sister he was nothing but sweet, trying his best to make them happy and keep them safe. With this little femme he wanted to possess her so fully that it worried him a little bit. None of the other females he had met had ever make him think such things. He knew that he was being a boar, but it was almost as if he couldn't stop himself. His instincts were screaming at him to do something so that she could not escape him. If she was a Kairos wolf after all she would be in his grasp, no way for her to avoid him. He supposed it honestly didn't matter when it came to her, he would no doubt hunt her to the ends of the earth. Hyperion knew he was not in his usually calm frame of mind so he did his best to look as non-threatening as he could. He didn't want her to be afraid of him, especially since he was a giant compared to her. It was damn lucky that he hadn't met her before he had left Ina'mos for his Agoge for he would hace surely been far too distracted to complete his task. Her eyes would have haunted him no matter where he went, of that he had no doubt. "My name is Hyperion. Who are you little wolf?" His question was abrupt with a hint of desperation in his voice. He needed to know exacly who she was, heaven forbid she ended up being one of his numerous half sisters. That was always a possibility since he hadn't met the entirety of Goliath's sizeable brood. He doubted it though, because he could remember no news of a floppy eared sister. His pup-like curiosity would have made him seek her out early than now. She was either new to Ina'mos or one of the Ultoris pups sent here to cement the pack alliance. The latter was more upsetting to Hyperion.
If she had been been a part of the pup swap it would mean that she had been ripped from her from her family to come here. He couldn't imagine what leaving his mother would feel like. It had no doubt been incredibly hard. Hyperion was pleased that she was here now though, Ultoris born or not she was Kairos now. He would make everything right, he knew that he would try his best. Looking her over he couldn't help but smile warmly at the female, trying his best to use the charm he knew he had somewhere within him. Where he was usually smooth and suave, here he was grasping at straws trying to figure out how he was supposed to behave. His instincts pushed him to be aggressive and to persue her as if he had the intention of taking her now, but his mind knew that was no way to win her over. After all he wanted her to like him just as much as he liked her. He puffed out his chest a little trying to remember that he had only just met the little thing. He was losing his mind acting like this. Or at least that's what he tried to convince himself.

This untraditional coupling is one of the truly loving matches in Anikira. Although they are members of two different species, Calantha and Rikez have overcome the differences and rose above, finding love in the most pure of ways. And from this pairing, a litter born of two loving parents was conceived. These little boys and girls will have the great honor of being raised by two parents that support each other, while many of the offspring in Anikira have not had such a benefit. The pair are truly fitting of one another; both kind-hearted and generally good individuals.
