White legs ran silently through the falling snow, propelling the she wolf forward at a quick and steady pace. Blue eyes were locked on to the target in front of them, never once straying. For several minutes, the she wolf remained like this, her pace never once slowing. Finally, though, she leapt forward, landing upon the back of the artic fox that she had been chasing. It was a fight, though a quick one, to bring it down but once it was, her teeth locked around it’s throat and she shook her head, breaking its neck. Only once she was certain that it was dead did she release her grip and move back. She knew that with a growing belly, she wouldn’t be able to hunt like that for much longer. But, that thought didn’t stay in her head long as she dug into the fresh kill. She could feel the pups that were growing in her belly squirm as she ate, occasionally making her feel nauseous. But with a soft growl, she continued eating knowing she couldn’t afford to not eat. Only once she felt completely full did she move back and continue on with her walk, leaving the carcass behind for scavengers to enjoy.
With a destination in mind and a full belly, Anima continued on with a steady but leisurely pace. The higher she got up the mountain, the heavier the snow became, making it harder to see in front of her but still she did not stop. It wasn’t until she reached the very peak of the mountain that she stopped walking and sat down. If one wasn’t paying attention, they wouldn’t even know that she was sitting there, the falling snow camouflaging her white pelt. But, staying hidden wasn’t what the she wolf wanted to do. So, reaching her muzzle up to the heavens above, she let out a friendly call, hoping someone would hear it and come keep her company.
