History: A'simi was born among two other pups on his mother's native land of Anikira, but he was the largest of the litter. His mother loved him very much and named him after the Greek word for silver, Asimi. There was one other muddled grey pup, his brother, and a pure white pup, his sister. The litter was the fruit of one encounter between two wolves who did not share the same affections toward one another. 
His mother was beautiful and named for the sun, Ilios. She was a cream colored Arctic wolf with yellow eyes. His father was the object of her affections - a beautiful grey timber wolf with silver eyes to rival the shine of the moon. The man knew her as only an acquaintance - he was born to his own pack on the mainland and was not native to the island as she was. They had met a few times in passing, and though she admired him so, he would never feel the same way. So the two spent one stormy night sleeping beside one another for warmth, he gave way to her affections, and was never seen again.
Her pregnancy was difficult and lonely, but worth it when she gave birth to three beautiful pups.
One day, the woman was hunting in an unknown territory near the center of the island. She was on a prairie that she had never hunted on before, but smelled many animals that she could hunt. Ilios left her pups in a small crevice behind some fronds of grass and followed the scent of a herd of pronghorn.
Just as she picked her target, she sensed that she was being watched and turned just in time to see a large cougar stalking her. It leapt at her with claws extended and found purchase in her retreating rump. She tore herself free and ran as fast as she could, wincing in pain and dripping blood. She knew she wouldn't make it far with a wound that deep, but she had to get the beast as far from her pups as possible. 
It chased her with persistence until she finally slowed and it finished her in short work. The pups were far away, still tucked into the crevice where Ilios had left them. Only 6 weeks old and already without their mother. A'simi was curious after hearing scuffling. he wanted to see his mother's most recent kill. He wandered out of the crevice, leaving his siblings to themselves. His baby blue eyes scanned the prairie and saw not a sign of his mother or her tell-tale cream pelt. He followed his clumsy paws, unaware of the dangers that littered the land. 
The large boy wandered far away and found himself searching for over an hour. Where was she? He smelled the ground as she had taught him and found the scent of something....something that tasted like the ocean that surrounded the rusty old ships on parts of the shore. It was red, and he had a feeling it was blood. It smelled like his mother. Was she hurt?
Worry pushed him onward, a whimper escaping his maw as night began to fall. It was cold and he missed the warmth of his mother's side. He had never been away from her for so long. 
After another hour of searching, A'simi found what he was looking for. It was a battleground, where two animals had fought to the death. Rather, they had fought to her death. His mother was lying in a heap of blood and flesh. She had been attacked and devoured. The scent of her milk still clung to her remains, and the pup didn't know how to react to the scene in front of him. He whimpered, howling in confusion when she didn't respond to his nudges and prodding. She would not wake, and he was alone in unknown territory.


Personality: The boy is a wildly curious and playful pup. He yearns for knowledge and does not hesitate to seek it out. He will follow his senses wherever they lead him, despite the consequences that may follow. His tendencies almost always lead him into danger which makes him quite a difficult pup to raise. 
As he gets older he will calm down quite a bit. Though A'simi will continue to seek higher education, he will never deliberately lead himself or another into danger. He values his family and siblings above all else and will strive to better himself through them.  The man will find himself fascinated with the art of healing and pursue his interests thereafter.
The memory of his mother, though faded, will keep him pushing onward to keep those he loves from similar dangers. He still finds himself waking in the night from recurring nightmares of her death. A'simi would fall apart if anything like that ever happened to anyone else that he loved. 
The boy is not shy as a pup or as an adult. He keeps a positive outlook on life and speaks his mind to anyone who may have the gall to ask. His curiosity drives him sometimes into awkward situations with others where they are not certain how to respond. Some may call it annoying, but others may find his confidence endearing.
