Changes have become too severe in Anikira, and the wolves have been temporarily relocated to the Anikiran Southern Isles. Things have grown dire and unlivable on the mainland; it was time for outside intervention. Please be sure to review the full update on the staff board for more information!
The current season is fall in the Southern Isles. Due to their proximity to the equator, the region is still warm. There is currently no breeding and no birthing amongst the wolves
[attr="class","pltxt"] One corner of that mouth turned upward in a stoic smile, though those glittering greens soften as they met her gaze. "I am rather amusing for company, aren't I? Was that a joke he just let escape? The teasing amusement sparkling within the emerald depths suggested as much. He was well aware his staple personality, which was what he offered the Vanir, left much to be desired. But for reasons that still baffled him, he had a desire for Rain to know the real him. The part that no one ever saw or had ever seen since his early puphood.
For a moment he was silent before his voice rose once more. "You are curious, as to what a Shinobi is, what they do, what they are." This was made as a statement rather then a question. "I can see the questions in the starlet silver of your eyes, kireina. If you wish to know something, I will tell you, you need only ask." Even as the words spilled from his mouth he knew he would keep no unnecessary secrets from the night kissed female beside him. How on earth had she managed to slip past his defenses and become someone he felt he could actually trust?
His gaze rested on her reclining form, never straying for longer then it took to glance outside. It was true he was starring but he couldn't fathom why she seemed so at ease beside him. Most wolves would have been on edge, wanting to get away from him. Especially since most sensed the deadly aura that was usually cloaking the silent brute. But he had never worn that persona around the Vanir, and he didn't intend to start now.
Time passed with it becoming more obvious that the storm overhead would not be relenting any time soon. Ebony touched scarred twins lay flat for a moment at the unease sharing his home for the night caused, although the moment he met her gaze that unease tighten into a ball of emotion that was completely different then unease. "Of course you may stay, for as long and you feel you need to." There was no visible sign of how his heart thundered in his chest at the prospect of sleeping beside this particular female. He had never allowed any other besides Aterui to witness him in his most vulnerable moment, And yet without much thought he had willingly given Rain that sacred permission.
Rain let out a sincere, somewhat loud giggle when he said that he was an amusing company. She really did like the company of the male, and she did not mind to show it to him; with every sparkle in her eye, and with every smile he caused, she let him know in more than a thousand unspoken ways that she really did enjoy his company. For some reason, being next to him made her forget about everything. She felt free for a few blissful moments, as if she were in a paradise. However, she did not want to let her feelings go wild yet--she wanted things to be natural. She did not want to fall in love so quickly, confused by the heavy feelings she still had for Koder. She wanted to make sure she knew him first--every angle, every emotion, every thought--she wanted to know him...
But... did he want her to know about him? "You are curious, as to what a Shinobi is, what they do, what they are. I can see the questions in the starlet silver of your eyes, kireina. If you wish to know something, I will tell you, you need only ask." Hm. Stole the words right out of her mouth. "Yes, I am curious. How did you know?!" She said in a sarcastic, playful tone as she giggled softly, looking at the male with joyous eyes. "I could be talking all night about how curious I am about you, dear Sazio... But... to be honest... I am extremely sleepy." She laughed once more before continuing with a playful tone in her vocie, "I sleep a lot, by the way. I think you have noticed it by now. And this rain is not helping me at all!"
After receiving confirmation that she could stay, Rain wagged her tail and looked at him with softened, platinum eyes and a shy smile. "Thank you, Sazio." Winking at the male, she lowered her head and placed it on top of her front legs, looking at the entrance of the den as the rain kept pouring down with no desire to stop. "Good night, my guardail." The waves of slumber began to wash over her, and little by little, the ebony beauty began to drift away into the world of dreams.
"You will come to find out there is very little I do not know. And what I do not know I will find out." There was a mischievous glimmer to those spring touched iceberg eyes. "Knowledge is best gleaned with patience. There is more then enough time for you to ask. I will always be in your shadow, Rain." He watched as she lowered her head to her paws, watched as sleep over took her form. The frosty storm of those emerald gems twisted out towards the falling rain, to the riverlets that would dry and vanish. Would his Rain be the same? Once she learned of his true self would she disappear leaving only the faintest of traces over the stones that would never forget their soothing presence?
Those eyes closed briefly as his mind turned inward, the shallow faint breath expelled from slightly parted lips. Meditation, a cornerstone of his belief system. It helped center the soul and steady the mind, helped one seek answers that were beyond the common wolf. The sound of the raging storm outside intermingled with the quiet breaths of the ebony female that lay at his side, these filled his scarred and bloody soul with and odd sense of peace. But as always where she was concerned he had to remind himself, she wasn't meant for him, her heart belonged to another.
Slowly those eyes would open falling to the slumbering fae, the sorrow found in their depths was so profound that they. For one night he would pretend he won her, pretend he had the right to think of her as his. A fantasy in the silence of night, and like the most in the morning that glaring sun would burn it away so reality could not be forgotten. But for tonight, shielded from the rest of the world, she was his.
Slowly that skull dropped to brush his muzzle tenderly against her cheek, that pinken muscle slipped past ivory death to slide almost lovingly over her brow. "Good night my Rain..." He would whisper sweetly against her ear before settling himself beside her allowing sleep to come.

In an effort to provide the least restrictve roleplaying environment available, Anikira and their staff are looking to move to the Proboards paid forums. This forum would allow unlimited writing freedom to members, as well as an ad-free environment and our ability to customize the forum and its ratings/content however we choose! In order to do so, we will require your help! There is a monthly cost associated with this service, and any and all donations toward this goal are appreciated. Please use the PayPal link below for all donations for Anikira maintenance and moving costs. We look forward to a roleplaying environment where the sky is the limit!
Please note the donation page is listed under Uru's name as it cannot be listed otherwise without a business account. All funds associated with this PayPal account will be used directly for the maintenance and costs of Anikira, and hopefully soon anikira.com as our roleplaying forum.
This untraditional coupling is one of the truly loving matches in Anikira. Although they are members of two different species, Calantha and Rikez have overcome the differences and rose above, finding love in the most pure of ways. And from this pairing, a litter born of two loving parents was conceived. These little boys and girls will have the great honor of being raised by two parents that support each other, while many of the offspring in Anikira have not had such a benefit. The pair are truly fitting of one another; both kind-hearted and generally good individuals.
