It had been quite a rush to be on such an adventure. Truthfully the massive brute had not thought about leaving Tas'Alea until Fenrir raged down his hatred. The others were forsaken and for good reason. If the heavens so frowned upon them it simply meant that they deserved to die. There was nothing more to it. He had always known that there was more to their life than simply the island, and once more he had been right. The God had simply guided him over the bridge and up through the north. It had taken him nearly a month, but his meandering had been slow. Fenrir allowed his delightful servant the opportunity to become briefly acquainted with these new terrains. Some of them perplexed the brute slightly, but he moved forward. He knew not why the God beckoned him to the tip of the island, the northernmost territory, but that was where the Kenai brute now stood.
He did not shiver with anticipation not from the cold breeze, this was expected. Fenrir told him the frozen hearts of these wolves were bitter. It had been his task to select the worthy, and steal them away west. Take what he wanted and slaughter the rest. God was blessing the massive brute more with every passing day. Today was Belial's day to rest. Whatever he was to accomplish within Caurus would be found soon enough, he had been meandering about these lands for a day or so now. Patience was a virtue, and one he did not particularly have when it came to many, but for Fenrir it would be exercised. The massive ashy brute reclined himself to his haunches, relishing in the dim lighting reflected by the moon.
The heavens above were quite satisfied, he could tell by the twinkling of their lights. 'I have pleased them once more, see the way they dance, the way their glittering teeth just sparkle behind an ebonite grin,' a strange sort of grin played across his muzzle. It was one of unpredictability and a malicious sort of humor. It lasted for nearly a moment before it drifted away. His stance was rigid and audits stuck erect from his skull, patiently waiting. Patiently waiting. The brute knew not what to expect, sometimes it was merely a gorgeous night as thanks, on other occasions a delicious meal could meander by. Either way, the massive brute was always thankful. He made sure he was thankful, that was what kept him getting everything that he wanted. The others needed to know before they too were slaughtered.
The winter weather was harsher than he had experience; yet, there was a certain comfort to his ashen pelt. The bitter frost felt encouraging as he knew there was a purpose. Cautiously he arose once more, icy orbs peering into the aggressive waters before him. 'Shelter, now' the dark voice in his mind pressed violently against the walls of bone. "Of course," the brute turned his crania towards the path he had just recently passed across. His footsteps still made a visible track within the snow, Belial had noticed a multitude of caverns on his trek to the river. Surprisingly smooth movements brought the canine to the entrance of a particularly dark cavern.
His nostrils flared, half expecting to catch a scent. Even if he did, his mind was far too distracted to recognize it. Rather the canine stood before the gaping mouth of rock as if he were a gargoyle. Lightly his ashen pelt was beginning to become littered with more flecks of snow. The extreme stillness was instantly shattered, his body shaking itself free of the condensation's hold upon his fur. Belial was far too conceited to permit some impurity upon him. The thought crossed his mind to enter the cavern, rest as he had been directed; yet something was refraining him from doing so.
