Jaeger prowled the borders of Xisyn, picking up all the scents she could and taking note of every plant and branch that lay scattered across the beautiful land. Jaeger also kept watch for any signs of an alpha of this pack. She had no idea really what to expect. She knew there should be an alpha and his pack, maybe along with a beta, but besides that, not much else. Jaeger only knew her mother, her brother, and the she-wolf she nursed from. Both her mother and brother died when she was very young, and instead of being adopted by another pack, she was picked up by deer and raised. And then she wandered off and fended for herself. Jaeger snarled quietly. This was not a history she was proud of. She wanted - no, needed - to find a pack. She needed to be with other wolves instead of on her own or with those frail deer.
Jaeger's "mane" on the back of her neck bristled. She feared how she might react to talking to the alpha of a pack. She had no idea whatsoever - she had never done it before. Suddenly, Jaeger jumped back and yelped a growl when she snapped a twig beneath her paw. She scurried away a few paces, and then relaxed a little more when she realized it was only a twig that scared her. Jaeger sighed quietly. Maybe that was how she would react to this pack.
Jaeger came to a stop and smelled the air cautiously before letting out a howl that sounded more like a frog growling. Jaeger's muscles tensed as she awaited whatever company might approach her. A wild gleam twinkled in her wide eyes as her lips struggled to keep her teeth concealed. Jaeger nervously growled at a breeze that brushed through her fur, and then took in an insane-sounding, hissing breath as her right ear twitched maniacally.
