Zelia carefully tread the rocky terrain of the volcanic, stumbling quite often and dropping the Aghada leaves that she carried in her mouth oh so carefully. The ethiopian wolf was quickly becoming frustrated as she tried to locate the leaves once again, putting her nose to use and bringing her face close to the ground. Though that didn't help much as she searched for her leaves. Not that Zelia needed them at the moment, though she had picked them up as she traveled through Acerbus. Just in case her body would start to ache over her travels. She had, in fact, taken some in the mornings as her nonstop traveling caused her to be sore the next day. The Aghada leaves had helped her so far and she's be damned if she would let them escape her grasp, especially when they only grew in the spring and summer. She was lucky to even find them, thankfully Zelia was padding through some trees when she stumbled upon them. Literally. The lone wolf went in circles trying to find her herbs, however, unknown to her, the leaves had been dropped in front of her and a few leaves were picked up by the wind, traveling further into the territory. She continued searching before she was convinced she had lost the herbs. Until, that is, her paw happened to step upon one. Zelia was relieved that she at least had one more leaf before she would run out. The lone wolf picked it up, as she did so she nosed another that was close to the first she had found, Zelia picked that one up too. The Ethiopian wolf continued this until she had recovered at least half of what she lost, dangerously close to the border she was though.
'Well at least I found half of the leaves I lost' Zelia thought, trying to get over the fact she had lost many of her leaves. She continued the path her leaves had followed until she was directly on top of the Ferus pack's scent border. The scent was no stranger to her, Zelia had crossed it many times to travel to Acerbus and The Occasus and back to I'queyer to gather the plants that only grew in the Western regions of Anikira to restock her inventory she kept in a make-shift den. For two years, Zelia had helped the loners that lived there in exchange for food. That is how she survived, since the she-wolf could not hunt for herself. The Ethiopian wolf had attempted to do so many times, sometimes she was lucky and caught a mouse all by herself or came across a half eaten bison a pair of loners had brought done together or maybe it had died and some loners had found it. It was a hard life for her and it wasn't one she had picked either. It was more like the Universe had chosen for her. Zelia was happy though, she had helped countless wolves during her two years of independence. Whether they paid her back in full or cheated her, there was less dead wolves and Zelia was happy over that. Sometimes, Zelia had regulars, either checking in on her or because they got sick or hurt often. The she-wolf chastised them over this, she didn't want to see the same wolves over and over again. But eventually they would stop coming to her. Either because they joined a pack or they died. Wolves would die in her paws sometimes so she couldn't rule that out. Zelia could not save them all which saddened her greatly. The Ethiopian wolf had much to learn, she wished to join a pack so that she may acquire more knowledge on her trade. Packs had shamans, she had heard, and gatherers as well. They could help her with this. But who would want a blind wolf in their ranks?
