Her heart hammering as she trotted towards the water, Kenley continued to marvel at the land around her. After months away from home, or what used to be home, she was finally beginning to feel as though she belonged. Despite not knowing many of her packmates, she felt sure that the time would come. She'd considered asking Rasalas to introduce her to a wolf or two, but felt guilty at the thought of wasting his time. She was friendly! She was fun! She could most certainly manage to make a friend or two on her own. Nodding to herself, she slowed as she reach the creek. Her parched tongue lolled out of her mouth as she anticipated the cool, crystal water. Despite its speed, it never became murky, no matter how far up or down she traveled. Bending her front legs, she dipped down to lap at the water's edge. Finishing up and humming her satisfaction to herself, she moved to stand in the shallow water.
Despite being a dessert wolf, she found the stale air stifling- she was used to a gentle breeze where she was from. Giving her body a shake, she loped up the creek, relishing in the feel of the cool water against her paws. She wanted to find the other pack members, she really did. But she had no clue where to begin. She'd met Aowyn, but her disappearance had been so sudden that again, she was lost and left wanting. It was difficult to feel like an outsider when she was used to her close-knit pack back across the ocean. Normally up-beat and outgoing, she felt herself withdrawing, and she worried that she'd never find anyone. Dipping her head, she continued slowly, distracted in her quiet reverie. It was depressing to think that she'd never find anyone. She was by no means a young pup, and even though she didn't agree with her parent's choice, and had ultimately decided to leave her pack because of it, she still wanted to find a companion. Every day she questioned whether she'd made the right decision in leaving, or whether she'd have been better off staying with that nightmare brute. Shaking her head to rid herself of these thoughts, she looked to the sky, hoping that it would provide her an answer.
