Eidus found himself on his side gasping. His thoughts scattered by the aches and pains of his trip throughout his lean form. He pulled the air in hungrily realizing finally that even after what his path had put in front of him he was once again alive. The mixed hue male slowly lifted his head his amber eyes squinting as his head thrones from what was likely slight oxygen loss. His body barely seemed to want to respond to even the slightest of commands. He peered slowly at his surroundings laughing mentally at the futility of it. After all he knew all to well he was no where near home.
As that fact settled into his mind his eyes slid shut again against the pain. This time the physical melded in with the mental and emotional to bring him to his edge. He gave no outward sign of this internal breaking point though. His mind creaked at the wroght as thoughts and memories strove to drive him under a mental storm much like the physical one which had brought him to this land. The world seemed to spin for a few moments while he tried to collect himself. As his thoughts slowed he began to force his breaths to follow suit. His breathing tapered and he found himself slowly calming.
He had lost everything but yet was alive. So in all things he must not lose that. Iy had been hard to not give in to the depression. And at the end, if he were honest with himself, he had given in. But he had never been given a chance to act on such thoughts. So here he was now lost, wet, and more than slightly off. Without giving his body a chance to argue he heaved himself up and into a laying position. With his paws under him he sagged at his exhaustion. He had no idea where he was or if there were any others out there but he was going to have to make something of it. If for no other reason than maybe one day he could find out what had happened to his family.
He struggled up from his position and settled his paws firmly into the sands. The breeze was cool against his fur but he didn't even have the energy to acknowledge it. He wearily looked from side to side scouting the area he was in. He could tell he had landed on a beach thats edge ran up to pretty dense woods. Off in the distance he could see the upper haze of mountains. This land was new to him and it took more than a little energy to force his curiosity from making him wander off in search of whatever new sights this land would have.
As he dropped to his h aunches to rest for a moment he let his eyes close once more to take mental stock of what he had been through. Captured, tortured, moved, and the almost drowned. Now he was lost and had nothin to begin to go on to find his way to food. This was going to be tricky. A slow smile took of his face as he also realized it would probably be exciting and maybe a little fun.
