It had taken many long hours to make it but the white wolf had finally made it to the very peak of the mountains that stood tall in her pack's territory. Her white pelt blended in almost perfectly with the snow covered ground. After walking around to make sure no one else was there, she laid down by the edge and looked down with a sigh. This was the one place she felt truly safe from her master. It was the one place she knew he would never to think to look for her. No one ever came all the way to the very top, or if they did, it wasn't often. However, that also meant that while Anima was part of her pack, she felt like an outcast at the same time. Sure, she made sure to make herself known often enough that things wouldn't look too suspicious but she was too afraid of someone finding out about her other life and of Zitao finding her to stay in the open for long. She sighed again with a soft delicate whimper and laid her head on her paws. She was so confused and lost. She had no idea what she should do. Should she tell her pack of her master and risk being forced out? Should she just go back to her master, accept her punishment for leaving, and leave her pack behind? Either option would lead to her having to return to him permanently which was not what she wanted and so she continued moving to and from places, leading two lives, and doing whatever it took to keep them separate.
With a tired yawn, she got up and made another circle around the edge to make sure no one was coming up and when she was sure she was alone, she lay back by the edge under a small bush that had managed to stay alive through the snow. She laid her head back on her paws and quickly fell into a deep slumber, exhausted from her climb. It would be difficult to spot her hiding under the bush and blending in with the bush and so for once, she let her guard down and allowed herself to fall into a deep sleep instead of her usual light sleep.
