She stood atop the falls, looking down on the land below. She was finally back to being herself. Her coat was thick and dense, an unmistakable silver hue. She was slim but this time in a nice looking healthy way and all her swims had built up core muscles and defined her long legs. Her eyes shone a pretty light blue, the color of the shallow water bellow glistening in the sun’s golden rays. Her crescent was a dark blue, appropriately the color of the night sky in which you’d find the actual thing. Her confidence had sky rocketed and she held her head and tail as high as her position would allow. Even though it wasn’t as high as an alpha or beta, it wasn’t too much lower. She no longer felt the need to hide from her pack mates but was ready to show off her hunting skills and, especially with it breeding season, was ready to be a new mother once more. Yes, she missed Tala, being her alpha, her brother, and her thirteen pups more than anything but; she was ready to move on. She was ready to avenge her brother and her children by being the absolute best that she could be. She was a brand new Kiva and she was ready to embrace everything about this new life.
She took a step closer to the edge, enjoying the mist that blew from the water fountain onto her. She contemplated howling a glorious howl, the kind she used to make as an alpha whenever her pack had done something amazing, the kind that would get everyone into a mood to celebrate. But, she decided that for now, she liked the lack of the voices that would drown out of the sounds of nature she was enjoying listening to. Instead, she just stood there, looking out and day dreaming. For the first time since the fire, everything was right again. It was then, when she finally allowed herself to relax, that she noticed the fact that her hormones were screaming in her head. What better a time, what better a place, than here and now to truly start things over? With that thought, she finally let out her howl and though she kept it quiet so that only those directly around her would hear it, it was still a glorious sound. If one thing would hint at her past, it would be her howls. They were the one thing she would never lessen, they were her siren calls.
