She had no idea how she had ended up in this place, but she was here. After crossing over to the island, every step she took felt like she was dragging herself to this place; her legs felt heavy and her body did too; her pink tongue was sticking out and her thirst was overwhelming. Every moment that passed made her want to be curled up in a ball sleeping or to turn her back and run away... she wanted to be anywhere else but here... but she couldn't walk away now. Not now. She needed this, even if she didn't want it--to be strong, to be able to cope with herself and her crippling depression--and she would do whatever it takes to achieve it. They had told her in her travels while looking for her family that there was a pack that would definitely toughen her up and prepare her for anything. She had heard of the giant wolves that lived here, and for some reason, the thought of being surrounded by huge wolves both fascinated and terrified her. Kayi would definitely feel safe and protected in the pack due to the enormous size of these wolves, but she really had no idea what she was up against.
The pure, angelic female walked with her head low, yet looking around for any signs of danger. Her ears were moving to all directions, and her eyes did not stop moving--every shadow, every movement was thoroughly scanned by her eyes, just in case her brother was around. She tried to not think about what had happened lately, and it had proved to work to some extent. As long as she wasn't around hearing or engaging in certain topics, she would be alright. She was thankful that the day was not that sunny, so she could see pretty well. While she walked, she began to see how her environment began to change, until she arrived to Liandry Falls. The beautiful sight took her breath away, and for a moment, she thought about living here. She would be protected by giants, and she would have quite a sight to admire every day. Maybe she would find love and have a family.
However, she began to think again in everything. As the water fell down from those beautiful heights, she began to think how her life came crashing down, just like that water. But one thing kept her hopes up--maybe life would be better for her here. But... she couldn't be such a fool. Life wouldn't clear up for her at all. She was worthless, and instead of helping her mother, she ran away like a coward. She was a pitiful, useless excuse for a wolf. She couldn't do anything right, like her brother Malachi or her sister Adeline. She was pathetic, and again, a true coward. Nothing more than that. She was weak--and she saw her mother every night, in every nightmare, and she still can't save her in her dreams. And it all happened because of him. That monster, that demon that took away her happiness. But she couldn't do anything else but run like the weakling she is, and maybe Kamikaze is dead because she didn't run after him. He was small, fragile and weak, and she wanted to protect him always. He is dead. "Kami... you... you're dead because of me. Mom. Dad. Addy. Malachi. Kaze... I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
Tears began to flow from her pink and crimson eyes, and signs of a panic attack were beginning to emerge from her body. Her jaw felt tight and clenched, her claws were beginning to dig on the ground beneath her, and her breathing became short and uneven. Her body began to shake, but her eyes suddenly closed tight. She tried to relax as much as she could. It was here where she decided that she needed to be strong, that she needed help and that she couldn't live like this any longer. She needed something to make her as strong as her father was. She wanted to be free from herself, in one way or another. Lifting her head and breathing deeply, she let out a long howl to signal her presence in the island.
Her heart began to pound hard and quickly, but she tried to ease some tension by drinking some water from the waterfall. After drinking, she sat down, almost dying from the nervousness she was feeling. With her leg, Kayi wiped out the tears and began to breathe slowly, trying to control her behavior. Gulping and looking around, she prayed that these guys were not as scary as they described them...
@zenith I was thinking that she joins only with the goal of becoming stronger but she doesn't really know like how huge these guys are and what she is up against but she just joins and then her strengthening process begins. <3
