As attention was brought to the white male, Dar would quietly study each wolf present. The enigmatic female, who slowly seemed to be warming up to the ideal of banding together. She intrigued him with the sense of distance, and deep thought. He may have even went so far as to say she held a dangerous air around her cloaked beneath a demeanor of aloft skepticism. Then came the broken female, who Vashti seemed to have taken a shine to. Eva seemed simple in some ways, and far more complex in others. It pleased the brute to be surrounded by such interesting personalities. Then another appeared, a beast of white who was a complete mystery. No words spoken yet he politely acknowledged each who spoke to him directly. It brought to mind that perhaps he was mute? A wolf who could not communicate easily with others. While he could actually speak his words were often as puzzling at no words at all. Because of that, if the snow white wolf was in fact mute as Vidarii suspected, then the brute of copper and ash touched with cream felt he could relate.
Then all thought fled the creatures skull. Silvered eyes widen in shock, and something more in their clear depths. Vasyl..how, what, why?! How?! These were thoughts that he could not voice, his tongue tied within that painted mew. Twisting that frame around he carefully approached the newly arrived cream and white brute whose face was as familiar to him as his own mother or fathers had been. It was true that Vashti and himself did not hold much of a relationship with their litter mates. But it had still rocked the twins world when their actions had taken their lives. And now here was one, who stood before them, and to all appearances he was a live and whole. Well mostly whole.
Dar would never forget the sight of Vienna laying twisted with an obviously broken back, and of Vasyl with his limb nearly severed. That limb now ended in a stump, recently healed. Moving carefully to the slightly older brute Vidarii's ears lay flat, then rose once more. He did not approach as one who was submissive to another as he had done so many times in the past, instead he stepped forward boldly. A guardian for those gathered here.
Despite the great joy that soared through his heart he could not suppress the caution and mistrust that shown in stony grey depths. They did not have a relationship so why was the other here? So far from their home pack. Despite his leg, which had obviously been professionally tended, he was of great value to the Elders, to their parents. What had happened since Vidarii and Vashti had been driven out?
A thousand questions raced back and forth, but those jaws parted with a few simple lines.
"From the grave you were exposed,
You return competent and completely composed,
What do you seek,
among the not so mild and meek?"
Iason / Vashti / Vasyl / Evangeline / Maikoa
