Black paws hit the ground in a steady rhythm as the mixed blooded brute slinked his way past the Salen terra border. Stopping Sasuke’s nose twitched slightly as he sniffed the air. “Pack territory…” He muttered allowed to his companion, or at least who he thought was his companion. Glancing around Sasuke realized he was alone and cursed under his breath. “Kimi?!” He called out, scowling and muttering under his breath, the stupid fae was going to get herself killed one of these days, and he was NOT going to be at fault for it!

Turning on the spot Sasuke glanced around and sighed, damn her… Suddenly a rather heavy white mass collided with his side, causing Sasuke to tumble onto the ground. Groaning the mixed blooded wolf picked himself up and shook his midnight pelt off, glaring at his sister and mumbling under his breath. “How many times have I told you to stop running off?” He said sternly, holding his head up away from her playful paws, this wasn’t the time to play. “We’re on another pack’s territory, I need to howl for the Alpha, now please, behave” He grumbled, licking some dirt clumps out of her pretty white fur.

Ignoring her complaints as he cleaned her Sasuke sighed and shook his head slightly, deciding that was good enough. Taking a few steps away from her he tilted his head back and let out a strong howl. “My name is Sasuke Kawa, my sister and I have wandered into your land from a far off place, and I would like to speak with this pack lands Alpha if I may[/i]” He sang and lowered his head. All they had to do now was wait. Trotting back over near his younger sibling Sasuke sat down and sighed. They were both hungry and tired, and Sasuke was hoping to get permission from the Alpha to stay a short while until they were able to get their strength back.

Bright blue eyes peered around a sandy colored rock, watching the black form of her brother. Generally, Kimi stood out on the terrain, but on the rock she actually blended in pretty well, accept for her blue eyes, but Kimi was proud of her blue eyes, and wouldn't trade them for anything. The snow colored fae stifled a giggle as her brother noticed her absence; he was sooo easy to get to. “FLYING TACKLE OF DOOOOOMMM~!” She called out, laughing as she tackled her brother to the ground, her banner wagging furiously behind her. Backing away from her brother’s body she sat down, sticking her tongue out at him.

As Sasuke lectured her Kimi sighed and looked away from him, shaking her head slightly. “Obviously, not enough for it to sink in” She said and giggled, rolling onto her back and pawing up at his face, though she couldn’t quite reach, her attempted was a good one. Sitting up again Kimi listened to him and gave a heavy sigh, she knew he was right, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t complain. As he started to groom her she made a face and shifted away from him. “Ewww… I don’t need a ba~th! Mo~ther~…!” She whined, glaring in a playful way at her older sibling.

Watching Sasuke walk off to howl Kimi yawned dramatically and rolled over onto her back, staring up at the sky and sighed. Bored… Bored… Bored… Oh look! A Butterfly! Kimi squeaked and rolled back over and pounced, a failed attempt at catching a butterfly that had decided to pick a bad time to fly past the bored ADD fae. By the time Sasuke had finished the howl, however, the butterfly had flown off. “Aww…” She pouted and sighed, laying down next to her brother and yawned again, just as dramatically as the first time. She was tired and hungry, sure, but she was excited about meeting new wolves as she hadn’t seen another other then her brother in a good while. Bringing her tail closer to her side Kimi gave an overly loud sigh and laid her head on her paws; she hated waiting with a passion.

Sasuke’s fluffy black tail swished from side to side as he waited for the pack’s Alpha to join them, or at least a high ranking pack member that could take them to where the Alpha was. ‘Did I call at a bad time…?’ He wondered and bit his lip slightly, he didn’t want to seem like a bother. He was already anxious and meeting with a cranky Alpha wouldn’t really help that much. Glancing at his sister Sasuke sighed, he could tell she was bored, but he really wasn’t up for a game to entertain her, it would be exhausting and he knew he’d need that energy for hunting, at least what of it he had.

Standing up Sasuke started to pace back and forth, his paws hitting the hard rock in a steady rhythm, why was he so nervous about meeting the Alpha? Probably because he didn’t know if the Alpha would like him, if the Alpha didn’t, him and Kimi would have to turn and make their way somewhere else, that wouldn’t be a problem, right? ‘I’m tired, but not exhausted’ He thought, he still had a good handful of energy left, though a nap would be nice.

Walking closer to the edge of a rock cliff Sasuke looked down and winced, it was about six or seven feet down to the bottom, and there didn’t seem to be any way up. ‘Falling down there would be tragic…’ He thought, flicking his ears a little. Suddenly, a rock hit him in the back and made him jump. Turning around Sasuke was just about to yell at Kimi for throwing something at him, but his foot slipped, and with a yelp Sasuke tumbled down the rock face. Landing hard on the ground bellow Sasuke groaned, his ears twitching slightly. “Ahhh… Oww…”

Gulping the brute carefully lifted himself from the ground and shook himself off, he wasn’t hurt thankfully, just shaken up. Turning and looking back up the cliff Sasuke saw Kimi looking down at him, apologizing for her faults. Sighing heavily Sasuke shook his head. “I’m fine, I didn’t get hurt, now step back from that ledge or you’ll fall too, you might not be so lucky” He said, waiting until she stepped back before continuing, he wasn’t sure if this would work, but he was going to try. “Kimi, I need to find a way back up… I can’t seem to see one, and it’s too steep for me to climb… ” His voice trailed off as he looked around, he would have to leave his sister to find a new way back to her.

Stretching slightly too easy any soreness from the fall Sasuke looked back up at Kimi and sighed, his voice becoming more serious. “Kimi, you need to stay there and meet with the Alpha, tell him or her what happened and see if you can rest up and eat with the pack, I need you to look after yourself while I try and find my way back, can you do that?” He said sternly, the sound of his past experience as an Alpha showing through. As Kimi stuttered through a sentence Sasuke sighed. “That’s not a request from your older brother, Kimiko, that was an order from your old Alpha, don’t let me down” He said, a small glint in his eye as he stood up.

Looking back up at Kimi Sasuke gave a small smile and chuckled. “Don’t get yourself killed, I’ll be back soon” He said before turning and padding off, he had to find a way up the mountain again to his sister, he had to. ‘Please, don’t get yourself into trouble Kimi… Look after yourself, and be careful’ He thought before his thoughts changed to the Alpha of the pack she was to meet and he winced slightly. ‘Dang it, he better not be mean to her…’ He thought, not believing he was actually thinking about threatening an Alpha… But his sister meant more to him then the Alpha did, and that’s saying something.

Kimi’s vibrant blue eyes watched her brother as he started to pace, he was so tense! He needed to just relax for once, but Kimi had learned that was close to impossible for Sasuke. He was always busy planning their next meal, thinking about where they would go to drink, where they would sleep, etcetera. Of course, Kimi knew that if Sasuke didn’t do all those things for her, she would probably be dead, but that didn’t make her want a play mate any less. ‘I really wish Sasuke would play with me sometimes… He’s too serious’ She thought and sighed dramatically, she was such a character and knew it.

Watching her brother sit down at the edge of the cliff Kimi smirked, oooohhh, this was going to be funny. She’d scared him by making him feel like he was going to fall, hehe. Sure, she’d get yelled at for it, but it would still be funny! Picking up a rock in her paw she chucked it at her brother, score! Right in the behind! Kimi giggled and smiled innocently at him. Here came to yelling. However, something Kimi hadn’t expected to happen, happened, Sasuke fell. Jumping up Kimi jolted to the edge of the cliff, being careful not to fall herself, and looked down at Sasuke.

‘Ooohh… I hope he’s not hurt!’ She thought, biting her lip, now she was going to get in trouble. “I’m SO sorry Sasuke! I didn’t mean for you to fall! I… I was just playing!” She squeaked, trying to lesson his anger toward her. But as he spoke she relaxed, he was okay! He hadn’t hurt himself! Sighing relieved Kimi did as he said and took a couple steps away from the edge, she could still see him, but she wouldn’t fall herself. ‘Thank-god he’s okay… But, how’s he going to get back…?’ She thought and whimpered softly, she wasn’t used to being away from her brother, and she hoped he could get back up…

As he continued Kimi’s ears fell back, but she listened to him and gave a small nod, she was more scared then anything, what would happen if the pack’s Alpha came before Sasuke came back?! Kimi couldn’t talk to him by herself! But… She might have to. Realizing she zoned off a bit Kimi shook her head and turned her attention back to her brother as he started telling her what she had to do. Oh boy.

Kimi could tell by his voice that he was being serious, and that she had to do what he was saying, why did she have to throw that rock at him?! “B-but… Sasuke I… I’ve never-” She whimpered and laid her ears back on her scull, she knew this was her payment for what she’d done to knock Sasuke off, but why did if have to be so cruel? As he told her it was an order Kimi gave a small nod and took a deep breath. “Yes, sir, I’ll do my best” She said and gulped, nodding slightly. That was probably the best way to get Kimi to do something, give her an ‘order’ instead of just asking her to do something, that way it was garneted to get done.

Watching Sasuke leave Kimi took a deep breath and turned around; she had a job to do now, to wait for the Alpha of the pack and to tell him what had happened. ‘I need to look after myself… Yeah… I can do that…’ She thought and gulped, glancing around slightly. She couldn’t get distracted… Suddenly something caught the ADD fae’s attention; the same butterfly had come back. Squeaking in delight Kimi started chasing it around the clearing, pretty much completely forgetting her brother’s absence. Oh boy, this was going to be… Interesting…

Trotting down to where the wolf’s howl came from, Exodus panted in the later afternoon heat. The dry rocks of the Ryn-Eldbel were hot and dusty under his black paws. Never the less, the Alpha traveled on slightly interested to see who this brute was that had howled. Maybe it was another potential pack member. The pack was still growing and still forming yet once things were stabilized it would turn into a fine pack. So far, those in it were decent members. Even if they were, for the most part, loners who had decided to try the pack-life for a change. It would take much time to sort every detail out and to ensure the best things for the pack were chosen. The hunt would prove to Exodus who would be a great Leader Hunter or who would be a good hunter period. He had his Beta and a few Subordinates. Now what he needed was a full fledged pack.

Stopping suddenly, Exodus’ front left paw reached up as he bent his snot down. Giving the spot a good itch, Exodus continued on still panting. He would need water very shortly not to mention a good rest. Ever since he had claimed these lands, Exodus had not the time to stop and sleep but only for a moment or two and nothing more. It was beginning to get to him now. Walking up, Exodus watched as a white femme looked over a small cliff. Raising a brow, Exodus began to question his sanity. Was he seeing things now? A masculine howl coming from a female? Pausing in step, the dark brute sniffed at the scent and took it in to lock away for safe keeping. The words of the howl flooded his mind and Exodus assumed that this was the sister then. Where was the brother?

Glancing around with narrowed eyes, the alpha wondered it was some ambush. “Hail, femme.” He spoke, his words gruff as usual. “What business do you have upon my lands? Unless I am mistaken, it was your brother who had called out to me. Where is this brother of your’s who wished to speak with me?” He asked while examining the young wolf before him. She was pretty and her blue orbs stood out vividly against her white pelt. Maybe her brother was simply seeking shelter for the two of them for the night. If that were the case, Exodus would treat them fairly. Who was he to turn his back upon two siblings in need of care? As the old saying went, what went around came around. It has proven itself to be true time and time again.

“Hail femme[/i]”

A soft squeak escaped the pure white fae’s grasp as the gruff voice of a brute caught her attention. Tumbling from mid-jump Kimi flipped onto her back so she faced the black Alpha upside down. Blinking a few good times to take the other wolf in Kimi let out a soft gasp and flipped over onto her feet and bowed, the full movement almost causing her to tumble yet again. Shaking her head slightly Kimi grinned at the brute, acting as though she hadn’t tumbled in the first pace. ‘Who is he?’ She wondered as she took in his appearance, finding herself staring at the odd silver marking on his forehead. “Uhm…” She mumbled, kind of struck by the larger male’s appearance, he was quite handsome, enough so to keep the fae thunderstruck.

As the brute spoke about her brother’s howl Kimi’s eyes widened slightly. “Oh!” She squeaked, her voice was very cute and feminine like, almost puppyish. It was true, she had forgotten about her brother for the short time, but she remembered most of it now, she just had to wrack her brain for what she was supposed to tell the Alpha… Was this the Alpha? She wasn’t sure; he held authority like one though. “Are you the Alpha here?” She asked, then mentally kicked herself, remembering that when he said ‘my lands’ it probably meant he was the Alpha…

“Uhm… I mean… Ooohhh… My brother, Sasuke, he fell, off the cliff” She said and let out a soft squeak, trotting over to the edge of the cliff her brother had fallen off and pointing with her paw. “Down there, he fell… He said, he was going to find a way back up, but he hasn’t come back… He told me to stay here and wait for the Alpha-well I guess that’s you isn’t it?” She said and grinned, bouncing back over to him, a cute grin on her face, her tail waving back and forth behind her. “Excuse my rudeness! I’m Kimiko Kawa, but you can call me Kimi!” She said happily and bowed to the Alpha again, seeing as her last one was a bit fumbley.

Sighing softly Kimi wagged her tail slightly behind her as she tried to remember what else she was supposed to say, it was getting dark now, and she doubted her brother would be able to find his way back now. “I don’t think Sasuke will be coming back tonight… Knowing him he’s probably looking for some place to stay for the night” She said almost absentmindedly, looking out over the view she had failed to notice. Turning her attention back on the brute in front of her after a moment she grinned again and swished her tail. “Do you think I could stay with you and your pack for the night?” She asked hopefully, he seemed nice enough, not the type to run someone in need off his lands.

Realizing her question had been pretty rude she looked at him apologetically. “Of course, I wont ask for your food and shelter for free! I have a strong knowledge of herbs and I’ve always been a good hunter, so I’ll have no problem paying you back for it!” She said, smiling sweetly and flicking her ears slightly. “I’ve worked in a pack many times, so I wont need any teaching or anything to work together with others, and I’m sure Sasuke will help you with anything you need once he finds me again too!” She said and licked her maw, wrapping her tail around her paws, realizing how much she had been talking she decided keeping quiet and letting him reply would be a pretty good idea.

<sub>Shuffling paws moved slowly through the grass in an unrheumatic way. It was odd for a wolf to have no pattern in their step, but for Machi that was not a problem. She walked oddly because of her disorder, which makes her dislike organized things. Not a lot of people knew this about her and just thought she was dangerous. Like her mother and father. Sighing the femme backed her ears a little, before the young she-wolf shook her head. Walking up to a flat surface, Machi looked around with her dull brown orbs. It was safe to say she could walk normally now, unless this was the kind of grass to leave tracks under her weight. Looking up from under her paws her eye twitched. The whole area was smoothed out by an even amount of grass. It was so... perfect.

Anger raged through her body, as she stared out at the perfect growing pasture. Unknowing that she was on another's territory the young she-wolf clawed at the ground with her paws. Pulling up the grass below. Digging up the dirt until she could no more. Once finished with one spot she moved to another and repeated the process until the scent of two wolves near by reached her nose. One scent was almost familiar. Machi wondered why it was familiar it did not smell like anyone she knew but she knew the smell from some where. 'Oh, oops.' She mused mentally realizing the scent of the wolf she smelt was the scent that was nearly all over the land. 'I must be in someone else's territory.' She thought, looking back behind her where the once prefect pasture but was now a dung up mess.

Content with the un-perfection of the land the she-wolf decided she would see the alpha of this territory. 'Maybe he knows where I can find some fresh water.' She thought logically, this land had to have a water source, if not the alpha was stupid to claim land with no water source. So the young she-wolf patted along until she saw two wolves in view. She thought about how odd they looked, much different from herself and her family. She was used to mixed colored wolves like herself and the rest of her Mexican wolf family. These two, however, they where different. The femme obviously flirting with the brute was a pure white color, and the brute he was a pure black. 'Good and evil.' was all Machi could make out of the two. That is how it seemed, based on their looks and they're personalities.

Watching the two for a moment, Machi was dumb struck, she realized she didn't know how to ask this brute, or alpha where the fresh water was. She had never spoken to anyone outside of her family. He was a stranger, and Kai and Hana always told her to be careful of strangers. Well there where never any strangers where Machi lived, her whole pack was her family. Plus they where all the same breed, but these wolves where odd. They where strangers, and definitely not Mexican wolves.

So, standing there like a dumb-nut, Machi listened to the two of them talk. Well it was more like the femme talking to him. This, Kimi she-wolf reminded Machi of her older sister Hana, as well as her brother Kai. But she was a she-wolf not a he-wolf. Maybe it would be easier to talk to that she-wolf than the alpha wolf, seeing as she was a lot like Kai and Hana. 'But she is not who I want to talk to.' She fussed in her mind, this Kimi was obviously new to this land as much as Machi was, and plus this brute was the alpha. He had to know where fresh water was. 'I wish Kai where here, this would be easier with him here, even if he's annoying.' She thought helplessly. True her brother was annoying but because of her disorder, she could not properly display her feelings, or properly socialize with others. Her brother often did a lot of the socializing for her.

Sucking in her discourage, the she-wolf walked over closer to the two until she was only about five feet away from them. Silently she stared at them for a moment before she faced Exodus. Furrowing her brows, and winkling her nose she stared at him. Stared and stared and stared until she felt she could stare no more. Lowering her head in a defeated matter, Machi simply did what she always did to her brother when she wanted something. Stretching out her paw, the young femme pawed at the larger brute as if saying she wanted something from him. She needed to ask a question, she needed to know where freshwater was so she could wash the ocean smell off her pelt. She probably looked like ocean trash to them...</sub>

The white femme before him lay on her back, having tripped from his sudden words. Raising a brow, Exodus simple peered down at her with his unsettling silver optics. She was young and cute from any other’s point, however, Exodus rarely looked into such matters too deeply. Time had not yet healed his scar that was printed jaggedly there. She questioned him, asking if he were the alpha of the lands. Giving a heavy sigh, the brute replied with a simple, “Yes.” As the femme told her story, Exodus listened with slight patience. He followed her to the edge of the cliff to see just how far down it was. While it was a ways down, if one landed right they would be ok. Obviously this was what had happened to this Sasuke Kawa character. Just hold was this femme? She didn’t look like a pup but she sure did act like one. “Excuse my rudeness! I’m Kimiko Kawa, but you can call me Kimi!”

“My name is Exodus Alastor. Most just call me Exodus or sir.” His replies were short today, shorter than they usually were anyhow. Moments later Kimi asked for shelter for the night. Exodus nodded once. “Yes, you are welcomed to stay here for tonight. Or, I guess, until your brother’s return.” Pausing for a short moment, the large brute half wondered if the brother might ever come back. Maybe he had died and Kimi just couldn’t accept it and move on. She had to create stories, wishing for his return. Never the less, she needed shelter and Exodus could provide that for her. What if the brother did return to find a slightly neglected sister waiting for him. That could cause trouble and trouble was what Exodus did not need at the time. With his pack so unorganized, any hints of trouble might undermine his entire proceeds.

Kimiko sat before Exodus, giving a speech of how she could pay him back in a very long-winded manner. The brute couldn’t help but let a secret smile flicker into his eyes. A second later, any trace of it was gone which would lead others to believe it had never existed in the first place. Eventually Kimi stopped talking and Exodus seized his chance lest it be taken up again by Kimi. “As of this moment we do have two others here, one who is not in the pack that knows something of herbs. While that skill is of no need yet, it may come in handy later. In regards to being a good hunter, I shall be organizing a pack hunt soon. You may join us and earn your keep there.” He said his works slightly softer than what is used in his normal tone.

I seem to find myself in the most interesting of situations as of late. I have a feeling this land likes to mess with my mind. First I was seeing spirits, now I am taking in young, giggling girls whose tails are on constant wag. What is next? Perhaps maybe flying pigs. Shaking his head with a slightly amused look, Exodus chuckled to his self. As a new scent wavered into his nose, Exodus’ cranium turned to look at another femme who had wandered up. What do wolves seeking an alpha do? Travel on hordes? He thought with a blank expression. Raising a brow the brute watched as the brown femme approached. “What is your business here, femme? My name is Exodus and I am Alpha of these lands.” He said calmly while his gaze raced across her figure analyzing her. She, too, was a young femme.

Befuddled, Exodus blinked at the femme. She spoke nothing as of yet and simple sat there to stare at him. Moments later, an expression which made her look like she had smelled something bad flashed across her face and Exodus’ eyes narrowed with suspicion. What was she doing and why was she here? If she came for a simple staring contest, she would have to be pretty good to beat the unemotional brute before her. After what seemed like an hour, the femme finally lowered her head and orbs in defeat and Exodus relaxed a little. The Mexican wolf before the dark shadow raised her paw. Exodus thought her to strike out at him; however this was not the case. Such as a pup paws at its mother for something, the wolf did just that. Exodus burrowed his brow, still confused. Was she mute? There was always Kimi to speak for her seeing as the white pup spoke for two wolves alone. “Do you need something? Are you just wandering through or are you looking for shelter as well?” He asked his voice something akin to nice. Though Exodus would probably never admit it, the brute had a soft spot for pups. He never had any of his own, no matter how much he had tried, and that fact had always haunted him. Ironic such a large, hulking brute could find love in something so bouncy and playful.[/blockquote]

As neither of the femme spoke, which would be a surprising feat for little Kimiko, Exodus began to tire of their silence. It was not long before the exhaustion which he had been pushing back for a while now ate at him like a tide going in and out. It washed over him in spells leaving him even more drained the longer the time ticked on. With a heavy sigh leaving his blackened lips, the male’s eyes drooped to the point where they might close and never open again. His paws became heavy like lead. To attempt and drive away these feelings, Exodus shifted his weight from side to side in a manner that might suggest his uneasy to just stand here with nothing being said. Without their words, there was not a lot he could do.

A sharp, new scent wavered over in his direction and the sleep that he needed disappeared for a short time. However, only moments later after the scent and a howl were smelled and heard, the familiar smell of a certain white brute who seemed always eager to greet the newcomers followed. Exodus pressed his jaw tighter as his eyes narrowed. How was it that whenever there was someone new, Taurus seemed ready to greet them like he had nothing to do while Exodus was always busy else where? Shaking his mighty skull, the black brute gave a gruff snort and peered over to the female who had approached him second. She had yet to give him an answer. Perhaps she was mute. That could be it. She gave no signs of being mute; however, unless one were to count the pawing at. Thinking more on the matter Exodus began to really wonder if she was mute.

Oh, lovely. I get one who talks too much and one that can’t. My luck seems to have a strong sense of humor. He thought as his black tail swished behind him once.

Speaking to the both, Exodus moved in his normal pace so that the two femme were in his sights. “Listen, my pack is desperately in need of a hunt that of which is being prolonged by this pregnant silence.” The alpha started. “If you would not mind following me back to the dens, we may discuss things there either shortly before or after plans for the hunt have been organized.” Exodus would not admit it made him uneasy to be away from his pack. It also made him angry to be away like this. No doubt those in his pitiful pack despised him for being such a horrible Alpha. Oh how had he changed from being the Alpha of his previous pack to the Alpha of this one, Salen.

“Feel free to accompany the pack on this hunt.” Exodus said as an after thought. The permission was granted more towards Kimi, for Exodus warily regarded this new female through suspicious eyes. “Please, you must enlighten me about yourself more along the way.” This was directed to Machi. It was not a simple request, it was a demand. With that all said, Exodus turned and headed back up towards his dens where who knows who still remained. I wonder if anyone left now. Exodus, you need to pull this pack together. Do not let it fall apart or else it will be a repeat of the last one. You know this. You know they might end up getting frustrated and run you out. Do not let it happen again.

Those words cautioned the black brute mentally. As he padded, his eyes narrowed while his head hung low in an ominous position. A deep growl to himself echoed off the land.

<sub>While thinking of a reply to the large and much elder brute, Machi's eyes sadded as they averted themselves down to the earth's dirty surface. She did not know what to say. What could she say? She had not experiance with speaking to others outside of her family. Let alone someone of a totally different breed, and an alpha at that. Her small frame trembled with fear, she was scared to speak to the brute. How was she suppose to speak to him? Specially with how he spoke to her, like she was nothing. A lower lifeform with nothingness to live for. A worm on the ground he could easily smush with one step of his mighty paw. She could feel the tingling sensation around her nose and eyes, she was on the verg of tears but she held them back. She had to be stronge. 'Kai, I need you. I can't be by myself...' She sniffed and lowered her head more so he daze was directly on the ground. The longer she stared the more flaws she found and the more content she felt. Everything had flaws, just like her. Yet, everyone accepted the earth and it's dirty flaws that weren't always so visable.

Taking in a sharp breathe, the mexican femora held it tightly before she let it out softly and turned her head up to the large black brute.
