Kastiel watched the happenings about him with his ears perked and stance alert. It seemed that with the sudden lapse in bad weather, others had decided to make there appearances known. Maybe he shouldn’t have been surprised that they would show up now, after the bad weather that had stormed about the territory; of course there would be a few lost and wondering souls about the place! Maybe there was logic to this train of thought – but he still didn’t like it, because it wasn’t the only thought to take root within his mind. Maybe they knew Val already, but with himself as well new to this territory and then these two crowding about it held an eerie feel to it, he felt crowded as through an ambush might be leering in the distance. There had been a time when the dark wolf had not seen shadows in every corner, and wisps of doubt within his goodness of those around him. He had truly wanted to see the best in others – he had, for a while. He knew however how a mind could fall apart, all the love and loyalty could wash away with pain and regret. With every longing and desire was a selfish thought. Selflessness in the world was hard to find, even Kastiel knew he had ulterior motives in joining this pack. Partly it was a means of finding his sister. But there was also making it a good home for her, and he knew despite the doubts within his mind he would strive to make this a liveable place for her.
Torio was happy enough to give his name and rank to the stranger – Bear. Kastiel himself kept silent once more, a strength of his it seemed (or a weakness if for instance one was to look from Val’s point of view). He asked then, this Bear, if he could join the group. Simply due to a little weather problem? Kastiel was – big surprise here – cautious of this idea. He looked to his leader, eyes protective. What ever decision the gentle brute made, Kastiel knew he would see it through for Torio and ensure the other came out in one piece – not that inviting this other along could really lead to that much trouble. Well... who knew...
