As Accalia crosses the border from no-mans land into the territory of the Descai, she stops dead in her tracks. The young female remembers her past experience with joining packs. She stood as her eyes became blank and distant as she remembered the pack that gave her a limp and enough emotional scars to give one to every wolf that currently lived on this island and still have more than enough for herself. She shuttered and she became aware of her surroundings again. She could not afford another experience like that. I can still turn back she told herself. As soon as that thought entered her mind, she wanted to slap herself senseless. No, I can't just turn back. Not after traveling all this way, not after everything I've been through she argued with herself. From an outsider point of view, looking at her would have been quite hilarious. Watching as she moved her head from side to side as she argued each point. Looking at her facial expressions change from scared to determined to frightened to angry. She began getting frustrated with herself for being so ridiculous. Then it hit her, like a wet fish slapped across the face, she realized that she was feeling emotion that made her feel bad. She put all of these feelings in a little box that was slowly getting bigger with every passing day that was located in her heart and she pointed her emerald eyes straight forward and began walking. I am going to do this. She reassured herself with that statement several times as she filled her nose with the scent of the pack. It was a rich and healthy scent that filled her nose. She continued walking, questioning again if this was the right thing to do. Am I doing this right? what's going to happen if I'm not accepted? Should i have called from outside the border line? All of these things that were running through her head would make any wolf mad. She shook her head trying to get rid of these thoughts but, they remained. Bouncing around in her head, these thoughts were making her tense. She sat. The young female filled her lungs and then squeezed them empty. These thoughts were put in her box and she continued with her journey.
The almost white female came to a clearing surrounded by trees with lush green grass and a single rock that was large enough for two wolves to stand on comfortably. She didn't know why but this place seemed alright. There was a light fog that graced the ground. It surrounded all the trees and caressed every blade of grass. To many it would seem creepy but to her, it was beautiful. She trotted over to the rock. Her gait was odd and awkward to watch this was due to her ever present and ever annoying limp. It didn't slow her down one bit anymore. After hunting alone with it for so long, she adapted to it and hunting was no more difficult than any other wolf with the exception that she was slower because of it and her balance can be off. This limp was slight to the eye and she was an expert at hiding it but, her gait was not so easily hidden. She tried to make it less obvious by stretching ever so often. This did not always work but today was a good day and her gait was smoother. She hoped that whoever this alpha was, would see past it.
She decided that this rock would be where she would announce her presence. That is if the pack didn't already know she was here. This would be the place that would hold the event that could forever change her life. She had dreamed of being apart of a community, a pack. She didn't know if it would make her happy or heal her wounds but, she did know that she was miserable alone. The female threw her head back and let out a note that was so clear, so flowing and full of longing that her song could have been compared to a crystal clear river, flowing through a rainforest. She sat and waited. The young wolf searched her surroundings, searching for a exit if things should take a turn for the worse. Once she had found one, her body relaxed ever so slightly and waited.
