Fire touched orbs flickered to Kade to see his progress but signaled his intent to stay calm by flicking his tail along his side. Complete serenity had yet to be achieved for him, however he was trying for Kade's sake.
Time seemed to hang there as Kenai watched what would happen next. Quickly scanning the small group, noting each and every ones expression and attitude. This was more than he expected just answering a simple howl. A fight may or may not happen and the spectators seemed mixed about the situation. He couldn't help but wonder if Faris was rooting for a rumble to start for pure entertainment reasons.
But his thought process was broken by a snappy command by Kade to Faris. But he caught the fact Kade didn't really want to fight....interesting. There must be a more complex issues here. The next thing out of his mouth, Kenai felt was in his direction. "I yield presently to allow you the opportunity." Fighting the instinct to stay on edge, Kenai forced himself to sit down and forget his plans of action to protect in case something happened.
Taking a deep breath as calm began to set over him, keeping a watchful but not an interrogative eye on the other male. In an attempt to take the focus off of the obvious struggle of the dark brute, Kenai looked to the females, "May I ask where you come from Faris? Do you have family around?" As soon as he asked he wondered if that was to personal to start off with. His social skills with females still lacked...a lot.
Looking over to the snowy Emerald, he smiled slightly but said nothing since everything he said to her so far seems to pluck some kind of nerve and he didn't want to push two wolves to the edge.
