History: This is no happy story that begins with love and ends with a pretty death. This life is never easy, and unending struggle to survive the death and torment that each day brings. Roka was born to a moderately large pack located deep in the tundra of Siberian Russia. The pack was ruled by an older alpha named Jaird at the end of his prime, his age closing in on him. There was dissention in the pack as the alpha began to lose control of his more dominant wolves. Roka's father, Braith, was a prime candidate for new alpha and was fit for the challenge. His only competition for the role of alpha was the beta and the alpha's son, Driar. Though Driar was younger than optimal for the role he was strong and willing to rule. Braith sought to strengthen his campaign by creating a strong line for himself, a strong line of sons that would solidify his bid. He found himself a female of good blood, not to dominant, but also not an omega and bred until it was apparent that his offspring was on the way. His claim was strong with the expectation of a male heir, and a good female to rule by his side. Roka's birth was a difficult one that took longer than expected. Her mother died in labor along with her brother, leaving her the lone survivor. With no son and the death of his mate her father lost his bid for alpha and was demoted to the rank of omega. The alphas son took over the pack with the help of the beta. Roka was taken and fostered among the other pups from Jaird's old litters. Pity and sympathy became regular emotions that she saw in others. She grew up with no knowledge of her parentage until she reached maturity. Driar became afraid of her bloodlines and of her dominance. He saw in her a drive that he had seen in her father. She was forced out of the ranks and made to endure being an Omega with her father for nothing more than her parentage. Braith hated his daughter and took great pleasure in explaining how she was an utter disappointment. How she had ruined his chances at life, and how she would never amount to anything more than a bitch for the breeding. She was scorned by those in the alphas inner circles, and desired by those with less than reputable desires for the pack. She left shortly after she was cornered by a few of the packs more desperate males. The alpha wasn't interested in keeping her safe so she decided being a loner was better than being a breeder. She led a solitary life for a few years, continuously moving north, deeper into the tundra. She relished in the solitude and the harshness of the terrain. It forced her to harden herself and forget the anger towards her past. During her travels she had an encounter with a large cat, a fight for an already dead elk carcass caused her to be wounded. Her left eye was shredded by the beast, and consequently left blind. It also left her with a large scar from just above her eye to her jaw.
After she was injured she was found by some local hunters and rehabilitated in a research facility outside of Moscow. After she healed she was required to learn how to survive with her new disability. Once she was back on her game she was sold to a private zoo in Africa rather than released back into the wild. During her transport the ship was sunk and she was lost to the sea. After floating adrift for what seemed like forever she finally found land, an unknown land with others of her kind. She now roams this land looking for a place of her own to call home. Whether pack life or remaining solitary she is looking for a new start.
Personality: Roka is strong in every sense of the word. She is stubborn, very unwilling to compromise when she has made up her mind. Her beliefs are concrete to her and she is very slow to change. She has a very short temper and is often provoked by small things. She isn't open about her feelings and likes to keep things to herself. She isn't a big talker in general and prefers to wait and watch rather than speak all the time. She is very observative and quick to make judgments based on what she sees. She doesn't give much of herself away whether it is helping others, or simple companionship. She is rough around the edges and doesn't quite know how to navigate socially. She is very intelligent and likes to analyze others and how they tick, but she can sometimes come across rude or offensive in her attempts to study them. She still relishes in the times where she is alone, but she is also growing accustomed to the healing that others can bring. She is fascinated by young pups and the innocence they posses. She feels that their inquisitive minds are similar to her own and she really connects with that. Even though the pups are a soft spot for her it doesn't change her gruffness, she would never harm a pup, but she also doesn't tolerate anything for long. She is slow to trust, but once you do earn it she is loyal to no end, albeit her version of loyal. She always quick to act, slow to speak, but she is also admirable in a way. She doesn't do anything that is not beneficial or worth doing.
