Kade knew he had tried her patience when he had told her to stay put, but he hadn't wanted anything to happen to her while he was away. He had smelled the blood before she had and didn't want her to get hurt by investigating. He knew that she was curious and that she hadn't wanted him to leave her alone, but he had to be sure it was safe. It had taken longer than he had thought getting Lisa on her feet and ready to return. It was a slow pace and was taking longer than he would have liked but before he knew it they were back and he could smell River again. It was a soothing scent and he was excited to be back near here. She was laying down when he finally caught sight of her, basking in the sun. She was glorious. She seemed to notice his approach at the same time that he noticed her and she perked up. Her hackles rose and she growled at them as they drew closer. Kade figured she would be unsure about Lisa, but he didn't want her to feel like she was unwelcome among them. Kade returned her growl, warning her. "Be nice." It had taken a lot of work to get Lisa to follow him and he didn't want her to go back to square one. He didn't want her to give up again.
She stood up and walked over to him giving him a lick across the muzzle. He returned the action allowing his tongue to give a few swipes over her muzzle and face. He was always glad to see her and welcomed her show of affection. He nuzzled her gently before meeting her gaze about to answer her question. She still seemed unsure about Lisa, but her curiosity had won out. It burned in her eyes. He turned back giving Lisa a reassuring smile before turning his attention back to River. "This is Lisa. She is hurt and needs our help.", he mumbled giving her a few more licks. He really hoped that River would accept her as one of their companions. He knew life with him would be trying and that she would need another friend to talk to. Someone who was more understanding of River like he wasn't. He knew that he was bossy and overbearing, but he couldn't help himself. River was his and he didn't know anything else. "Come along Lisa. This is River. I hope you both can be friends." He wagged his tail towards Lisa hoping that she wouldn't take any mind to their unusual behavior. "Nothing to fear. Come on.", he invited wanting her to be comfortable around them. They would all be like family and travel together until they reached Keone.
