She felt out of place, and it irritated her. Wraith wasn't a wolf to show very many emotions but today irritation rippled off of her body in waves. She stormed forward, her paws taking very precise steps as she followed the flow of the river beside her. She used it as her guide as she continued down the winding paths, allowing herself to wander her new home. The farewell between herself and her mother Xena had not been very emotional, in fact if she could have guessed she would have been 100% sure that her mother didn't miss her at all. It was clear that she and her sister Banshee had been nothing but a burden to her as she wasn't the mothering type, but it didn't make that pill any easier to swallow. There were times where Wraith wondered what it would be like to have a mother that truly cared- but she knew that was a false sense of hope. Xena was the mother that she had been given and nothing would change that. She was bound to her as she was Banshee- they all shared the same mask marking on their faces. A telltale sign that they were united, no matter how far the distance was between them. But still Wraith couldn't help but feel angry and now all of those pent up emotions were showing themselves. She had been sure to keep it together the entire time she lived in Kairos, taking everything day by day. She kept herself composed at all times and tried to show hardly any emotion, but now it was too difficult. The emotions were welling up inside of her and were getting ready to erupt like a volcano. Right before she was getting ready to have an outburst she felt the first cool droplets of rain on her back. A low growl escaped her chasms, Perfect. She snarled before rolling her eyes and plopping her hindquarters down on the wet grass.
The rain only continued to fall harder but Wraith made no move to find any shelter. She sat watching the water as it roared past, picking up speed and creating little torrents here and there. She watched as the colorful fish darted beneath the surface of the water but found that she had no appetite. She found that she had no desire to do anything except revel in her own unhappiness. Her hackles were raised slightly as she stared down at the water, meanwhile her reflection stared right back at her. Unhappiness was seen clearly in her stony gaze as well as sadness. Enough of that. She snapped at herself before looking away. She wasn't going to throw her own pity party, this was her life now no matter whether she liked it or not. She had a job to do. This pup trade was the start of an alliance and Xena had made it perfectly clear that she would represent Kairos in only the best way possible. She would not piss and moan and she would only do what she was told. The words still echoed clearly in her mind, but as if her mother had to do something like this. Sure she had to conceive but it seemed that she wasn't really dealing with the repercussions. No that was her job. It was then that Wraith realized that she loathed her mother, loathed her for not caring. Screw them then! She shouted, finally feeling better now that she was able to release the tension. Suddenly however she heard the sound of approaching paws and she instantly turned on her haunches. Her face became a stoic mask of no emotions to try to cover up her anger and she couldn't help but glare, waiting for the stranger to show themselves. I don't very much agree to having someone try and sneak up on me. She snapped, daring them to show their face.
