The cold night air had been warmed steadily by the rising sun. The sunrise had been gorgeous, flaming with shades of pink and orange, yellow and red. It had definitely been a beautiful sight to see. Not many could sit through the whole thing, either. It took a lot of self control and discipline to sit in one places for hours to watch the sun rise high into the sky while the beautiful colors faded to shades of blue. Natasha, however, found herself sitting at the mouth of the extensive cave that she and five other wolves called home. It was a lovely place to live, especially in the winter because it didn't get nearly as cold, but it didn't see too much of the sun. It was nice to sit at the entrance of the cave or go out into the lands that bordered the pack's to the south. The uniquely marked wolf couldn't complain, though. She was well fed, was apart of a nice pack, and she hadn't encountered too many dangerous things in the past few months. Really, though, nothing eventful had happened. She almost wished that they would get an intruder so that she could at least get a little angry. The closest that they had gotten to that had been when Mythril had presented herself. Captain was fond of the female, Natasha could tell, and she wondered how long it would be before he told Severus about her. It was fine that she was joining the pack and all, but Natasha wanted to see it happen soon so that she didn't feel like she was keeping secrets from the alpha.
The young wolf didn't like to go against her alpha, but for Captain she would. She felt a connection to him, but it wasn't anything other than a sibling love. He felt like a brother to her, and she didn't want to betray him. Besides, it wasn't like she was actually lying or going against Severus... She just wouldn't mention the she-wolf to him. That is, if she ever saw him around. She hadn't seen much of the older wolf recently, and she wondered if it was due to the season -for he had a mate to be with- or if he had honestly just been busy with the duties that came with being alpha. It was a lot of responsibility to run a pack, and Natasha was fairly certain that she wasn't cut out for the job. She was a damn good hunter and a damn good warrior, but alpha was probably not for her. She quite enjoyed her life of ease. After all of the years of intense training that her old pack put her through, she was glad to be put in a relatively easy rank when she arrived on Anikira and joined Ultoris.
As the young female sat at the entrance to the cave, almost right in the middle of the long expanse, she thought about her old pack. The fight training that she had done had been so intense, and when she was placed as a warrior in Ultoris, she found that she had a lot of free time. She tried to mask her fighting skills to others around her, even her own pack, and she briefly wondered if Severus even knew what she was capable of. Even in her sparring sessions with Captain, she wasn't really trying. She came from warriors. If she wanted to truly do damage, by god she would be doing damage. She was almost positive that Severus didn't know that side of her. She tried to stay light and relatively happy around him... Throw in a little flirtatiousness, and that was basically the extent of anything that Natasha had expressed towards Sev. Sure, he had a mate, and yes she absolutely knew that they were happily mated, but did that mean that she wouldn't flirt with him? No. She absolutely would flirt with him because he was attractive, she was attractive, he was male, and she was female. Why not flirt? Natasha couldn't help but chuckle to herself a little as she stretched (a catstretch) and laid down, sighing softly.
