She should go home. She should go home. The same four words circled in her head over and over again, she had been gone from the island for a long time, longer than she planned on but she was caught between two places in her mind. Go home and get in trouble by the leaders or stay and possibly get in trouble or hurt. The lilac eyed girl simply walked on, shyly exploring as she went and tried her best to stay out of trouble. She was no warrior, she was really nothing. Too small for fighting, not interested in healing although it seemed a better idea for her to do that than to become a hunter like mother. Aunt Kayi would teach her if asked, she knew that but the silver girl hadn't seen the albino priestess for a long time,
Her only friend in the world said she was special but she wanted to know what that actually meant. Aurik was special that was easy to see, he was kind and treated her like a real creature instead of a insignificant insect to be squashed and tossed away. She liked him. It was good to finally have someone to talk to.
But he went back to Ina'mos and she was still here, honestly she was getting the feeling she was lost. Nothing looked familiar and it was getting dark again. Shuffling quietly, Dianthe tried her best to be brave but her will was fading. This place was scary with the odd formations and lengthening shadows, weird scents she couldn't name. She should go back home...
Not knowing how made that almost impossible. What if she just spent the night here and tried again when it was light outside, brightened by the sun instead of the silver moon? It seemed the best option but she didn't think she would be able to sleep with all the creepy structures that burrowed into the throat of the earth. But she had no other option. Curling up in a silver ball with the moonlight falling over her like a blanket trying to comfort her.
