The last time the creature was here, she was a loner with no real desire to join a pack, but now she wanders back here as a member of a pack. She wasn't sure why she had returned, when she should be back in her pack lands, awaiting her first task. She was surprised at the fact that she was not an Omega in Ananke, but she could help provide them with food. One thing that she was good at. The she-wolf loved to hunt and providing something for her pack. But now that she was back on the loner's side of the Chamoru Plains, she wasn't sure what she was going to do.
She had traveled a small trail to get here, following the borders of Aveline to get to I'queyer. She guessed that maybe it was because in the plains she could see all around her, though she still stuck to the tree line where the large animals in the plains couldn't see her, but she could sit and watch them move around in peace until another creature came with the desire to feast on the creatures that strayed here. As she sat there, she let her mind slowly wander, remembering her life in all the packs and times she was a loner wandering through Anikira.
She was maybe a year old, and out on her own for the first time. It was also the first time that she discovered that she had a natural love for hunting. She may not had the skills to hunt, but she was determined. Many tries later, she had taken down her first prey, a small fawn no bigger than a bush. It barely stood up to its doe's chest when it stood, but to her, it was food and a lesson. It was then that she learned that her, at that time, short legs could be used to push her over the ground, her paws barely making noise as she traveled.

He still had his regrets about leaving Valyn, but they were all pushed aside for his newfound loyalty to Severus. Descai was gone. Descai was not Valyn. That was Valyn. But in Valyn, he had been a Templar. There was not a chance of getting higher in the matriarchal hierarchy, but it was still above what he was in Ultoris. Rank isn't everything though. Valeria wasn't exactly my biggest fan, was she? Being Templar didn't mean that my relationship with the alpha was good.
And that was exactly why Galathe had gone to Aleru in search of Ultoris. It was not purely curiosity about the operation of an underground pack. He wanted a fresh start, somewhere where he would not be seen as an immature youth but rather the warrior that he truly was. The mixed breed brute could prove himself to Severus and not only gain the respect that he never really had in Descai-Valyn, but also the rank of Warrior that he had aspired to be in Vorilye's pack. In Ultoris, he had no reputation and it all seemed uphill from there.
Although living underground had intrigued Galathe, he did not want to be confined beneath the surface forever. There were also loner lands beneath Selunari Expanse so... Why not? Emerging from the cave system that was his new home, the Ultoris wolf began the trek towards what he knew as Chamoru Plains.
As he passed through the long and short grasses of the plains, there seemed to be a dark form off in the distance. She was significantly smaller than Galathe as most wolves were and the Mackenzie Valley dominant had not felt the feeling of accomplishment in a long time. Perhaps towering over this mottled black-and-white fae would provide that feeling of accomplishment.
Striding towards her with a swift, certain gait, yet seeming calm and mature at the same time, Ultoris' newest addition closed the distance between him and the loner. At closer inspection, it revealed itself that she had yellow eyes and was a whole lot shorter than she had looked from a distance.
"Hello there," the large male began. "How are things going for you today, little thing?" Words: 394 Tags:Skye Notes: Sorry for the wait! Not sure what Galathe is doing O.o He's being a whole lot more creepy than I intended. He's not supposed to be evil haha. Muse: Good

A voice pulled the small creature back to reality from her mind's reverie, and when she looked up, she felt her blood run a little cold. Standing not far from her was a much more massive wolf. She wasn't sure why, but she lowered her head. The way this wolf towered over her, scared her. She was a decent size for her breed, but this one made her feel even smaller than what she actually was, making her feel almost like a pup all over again. She knew she shouldn't be so timid toward another, but this wolf coming up scared life from her.
She could hardly lift her eyes to look up at him, as if she was in sort of trouble with her teacher, or in this case, her Chieftain, though she knew she wasn't. Offering a soft wag to the much larger creature, she tried to regain what little confidence she had to begin with to try and pick her head up so that she could at least look at the creature before her.
"Going well." Her voice was quieter than she had hoped, but it was still louder than she thought, a little ways between her normal, semi-strong voice and a loud whisper. She was proud of herself though, it was louder than she expected, especially with the larger creature near by. "And for you? Treating you decently?" She tilted her head slightly, her attention on him fully as she waited for a response.
The only way to overcome the fear of the larger creatures, was to force herself to overcome her past instincts and try to communicate with them, no matter how much she wanted to run away. Just sitting there, the mottled creature was trying to become a better creature, at least for her pack. But she wanted to better herself for herself as well. She wanted to be stronger emotionally over physically since the smaller creature to some, seemed a complete mess.

Fear emanated from the minute fae, the stranger obviously intimidated by Galathe's size. The mixed breed's size had always been something that the male had been proud of—it was perhaps the only trait that he had taken from his father, lacking the fur or eyes of his family. He did not even have the signature golden markings, nothing to prove that he and Vorilye had any shared blood—after all, he knew that large males were quite common in Kairos. Well, he had heard that they were.
"Life is fine. I'm having a fresh start in Ultoris. And, stranger, I do not know your name yet. Do change that. I am Galathe, by the way, Subordinate of Ultoris but hopefully Warrior in the future." He spoke of his pack with pride, puffing out his chest when the name of his new pack rolled over his tongue.
The more strategic part of the Subordinate's brain started to whirr. Inhaling the female's scent more, he figured that she was of a pack—the collected, cohesive structure of aromas coating her gave that away—and that if she was of a pack, that could benefit Ultoris. What information could he sap from her? Perhaps Ultoris could do with a prisoner, although Severus did not seem like the type to take prisoners, especially if they were not of war. If it did not impress the Alpha then Galathe would not bother but some perhaps exclusive information could not hurt.
"What pack are you from? What's it like? What rank are you? Can you tell me anything about it?" the large brute barked. Taken out of context, the words might seem like those of a frisky, overly curious pup, but they were said with such a demanding tone that mistaking them for a pup's curiosity seemed rather unlikely. If his size was not enough to fear the smaller creature, his voice sure did. No matter how hard she tried to sit as she was before, she felt herself shift her weight back further onto her haunches. When the questions rolled from the creature's maw caused a soft growl to leave her own maw. She wasn't much of a fighter, but if she had to, she would fight.
"The name is Skye, I am part of the Ananke pack. My ranking and all information of the pack does not matter fully to you." Her own voice came out a stronger than what she felt as the growl rumbled slightly in her chest. If she learned anything over the years from all the packs she had been a part of, it was not telling a wolf in another pack about the pack she was in. When she made the mistake before, she did not only get a scolding, but she also realized it had been a mistake. After that, she only ever told wolves of her name and her pack, never anything else. Though she was usually an Omega, she had still learned her lesson and never told anyone.
When she wanted to regain her nerves again, she only managed to lift her head slightly, golden yellow orbs never leaving the large creature that dared to ask her of her pack. "And if you want to know of the pack, you may as well have joined it instead of Ultoris, or you can ask your own pack." The more that she talked, the more she wished she was like several others. They seemed to have more confidence than her, and she desired it. But no matter how hard she tried, she could never be anything like them. Especially the Chieftain nor the warriors, whatever they were called in her pack.

Ananke. The word registered itself in the mottled Subordinate's mind, but Galathe himself was not awfully bothered by what the pack called itself. It was a mixture of genuine curiosity mingled with desire for strategic advantage in knowing of the pack's working that fueled his enquiry for what this Ananke was like, however, it seemed that this Skye, as she introduced herself as, refused to give information about her pack. At this conflict, it was no longer anything strategic or even to do with curiosity that drove him to push for an answer, but instead his will to not be bested, especially not by this miniscule fae.
"That is a wise decision, miss Skye, to not give information in exchange for nothing. However, I am sure that you would love to help Ananke. The pack north of where your pack is, judging by the scent coming from over there being the same as the scent that you carry, should be Valyn, residing in Kamari. Bordering packs are prone to clash—another pack by the name of Kairos bordered both Descai lands and Valyn lands, and guess what? Those lands now belong to Kairos." Although the Ultoris wolf now held nothing against Valeria or her pack, Ultoris was his pack now, where his loyalty lay. Two did not have to be enemies in order to find something to clash over. "In the case that such a border should cause issues between your packs, I am sure that having some information for Ananke would help you. And I happen to have been in Valyn during my lifetime, so I could offer a thing or two myself."
It was illogical to put in such effort in order to obtain likely useless information—after all, it was not like Ultoris and Ananke would break out into a war anytime soon—and he knew that, but still, he would not back down that easily. It was less of a matter of gaining something but rather a matter of maintaining pride, pride that Galathe had worked hard for.
Pulling himself up to his impressive full height, the blue-eyed brute walked closer to Skye and looked at her in the eyes, golden yellow in hue. If anything, he could at least throw his impressive weight around as an intimidation tactic, although he did not desire a fight unless if he had to. He liked to think of himself as past the stage of puppy playfighting, more mature than the sizeable pup that he was seen as by Descai-Valyn. And he was seen that way all because he had defended his pack and father as any loyal member should have done!
Stop thinking about them. They are the past. Ultoris sees me as at least old enough to be respected as a member, even if I do have to comply with their training scheme thing. And, one day, he would be looked at as a fully grown adult, capable of a full rank and treated as any other member would be treated. A growl deepened her throat as she listened to him, ears beginning to become pinned against her multi-colored skull. She was not much of a fighter, but she would protect her pack at the cost of her life if she had to. She would never give out any kind of information to another pack wolf, giving them the one step ahead of them. She may naturally be a suttle creature, but she could easily step up to defend if she really had to.
As she watched him try to get closer, the mottled female took a few steps away, her laps quivering slightly, her eyes locked onto his. She didn't know what he was trying to attempt, but she was not going to allow it if she could help. "You can give the information you wish to, but none will come from me. I can assure you that." Her laps curled back over her teeth as she spoke, her voice low with a growl.
What ever information he was willing to give, she was sure she could take back to Nimue, see if any of it is new to her or not. If it was no longer new news to her, Skye would still take what information she had to her Chieftain. There was no way the female would be able to watch that border on her own, especially since she was a natural hunter, and did not have that much of a mean streak to her.
"Why is it you offer this information?" Her voice mellowed out, the growl a soft, gentle rumble in her chest as she barely tilted her head, ears barely moving. She didn't even know if this information was still true, or if he was just filling the creature's ears as he pleased. She didn't even know if she should go to her other borders to check them to see if it was so, or ask one that was better at protecting themselves and the pack if they could do so. Either way, she took in what info the male had given as she tried to keep her distance from him.
