Swamp Surprises (Blitz/Open)

What to do? What to do! She was bored out of her mind. Fawn was one who needed constant stimulation for her sharp but unfocused mind and right now nothing held her interest. Thundering through the swamp as much as a midget like herself could, she streaked through the swamp in a dappled blur of tawny and white. Frustration grew and her temper wasn't obeying her orders to calm down like it had a will of its own. So much boredom! 

Unable to find Oly, Ty or even Hyp, she was left to her own devices and that meant mischief for any who ran across her path. Craving anything to occupy herself, the bright eyed girl searched diligently. Well as diligently as her short attention span would allow. 

There! A new scent she didn't know. Altering her course to pursue the scent she began to form puzzles in her head in preparation of whomever she may meet. Soon her tiny paws found what she was looking for. A stranger indeed. Tilting her head in curiosity, Fawn approached with her most innocent face. She was a veteran at coming across as innocent as the creature she was named after. Smiling her sweetest smile, she offered a greeting. "Hello there, you're new, I can smell that much. Who are you?" 

She waited for her response and itched to start her games. The ones that brought her favor from the Emperor himself and the respect of those in the pack even though she was still classed as a youth, but that would soon change. She had her sights on one or two ranks that she was sure she'd be good at, all she needed was to find Typhon as get his opinion on things. She refused to be a hunter and wasn't keen on being a lowly mother, she had fire in her heart and a sharp mind, she wanted to use them as best she could to serve her pack now that she knew she was a respected member and not just some faceless pup.

Blitz was still taking a long time to get used to her new surroundings. It wasn't that she disliked the place, no, it was just such a huge difference from where she was before. Hell, this entire island was a huge difference from where she was before. Everything that happened back in the States seemed so recent it could have been yesterday. But a decent chunk of time had most definitely passed, and the ever healing scar on the back of her neck was evidence. By Blitz's estimations, it had to have been at least a month since she was taken away by the poachers. She had spent a couple of days on the ship, and what felt like years on that measly piece of driftwood, floating from god-knows-where to Anikira. She had definitely spent a couple of weeks in Xisyn, hunting and regaining her strength, before she had decided to make the trek to Ina'mos.

And now she found herself back in the swamp where she had first entered the island. The air was heavy, as usual, and it seemed just as swamp-like as it looked when she arrived. But there was something different about it this time.

"Hello there, you're new, I can smell that much. Who are you?"

That was what felt different. Blitz had yet to get acquainted with the scents of the other Kairos wolves. The ruddy canine turned her head, ears flicking alert at the sound of the voice. When her optics found the younger, paler-colored wolf, she relaxed slightly, but still stood tall. Her innocent face made her eyes narrow, probably more wary than she needed to be.

"Blitz." She replied plainly, her voice flat and emotionless. "And I think I could ask you the same question."

She had been told that Kairos was a strong, fierce, powerful pack of wolves, and this is the first obstacle they throw at her?

Bright blue eyes sized up the one who called herself Blitz, they were the same height but Fawn seemed to have a few pounds more than the stranger and frankly she didn't know what to do with that. Fawn was always the smallest in every circle she joined but now it was ever so slightly skewed the other way.

The fact Blitz seemed off put by Fawns sweet face only entertained the younger female. She must be smart enough not to be caught in traps easily. Which made for a more interesting game. "Fawn. I won't bore you with my lineage, so many here are too vain for their own good and frankly it's pointless." sWhat she failed to mention is she didn't care about her connection to the founder of the pack, her very own father. While others puffed out their chests and proclaimed it to anyone who would listen even those of the same blood, she kept her cards closer to her chest. After all They weren't close, she had barely see him on a one on one basis anyway, he didn't know her. 

"You're just a little ball of Sunshine aren't ya?" She teased hoping to find a button to push. "Does my brother know you're here?" That was the most important thing, Typhon was busy but wolves making it to the island needed to be watched if they weren't pack. Some saw his younger age as a weakness, but Fawn was loyal to her brother and knew who to call on should a danger arise that she couldn't handle. 

This may be the only time in her life Fawn would face an even fight if this wolf was here without permission. The fact Fawn didn't mention Typhon by name was a small test to see how much Blitz knew. While word surely spread that Goliath handed the pack over to his son, there were undoubtedly loners who would have been left out of the loop. 

Staring sweetly with no indication of the wheels turning in her head, Fawn waited as if they were simply remarking on the weather or condition of the prey that filled the swamp. Having experienced conquest and power that Kairos had personally and no longer relied on just stories, she stood confident. She was a weapon however underestimated she may be, let them think she's innocent and worthless, she would show her hand if needed but not before.
