Now that he was back on Ina'mos, Typhon felt as though a weight had been lifted from his chest. There was still much weighing on his mind--in particular, the departure of Tala--but being home had eased his mind considerably. There was not a single part of the island that he had not explored to the deepest reaches he could, and navigating the landscape was as easy as breathing. The grass, the trees, the river.... everything about Ina'mos was a part of him, and the Emperor knew that this was where he belonged, always.
There was a time, back at the Agoge, when he considered leaving. He and Lilith had grand plans to create their own oasis, away from the harshness of their father and the softness of the rest. But Lilith had disappeared shortly after their conquest of Valyn, and he had heard no word of her. It didn't matter; her loss affected him only minimally, especially compared to the loss of his mother, and even that was beginning to fade. Keeping himself distracted with his duties was doing well to keep him sane and help him forget.
For now, he wanted to find his favorite family member--Sabaoth, the uncle who had always treated him well, who had taught him nearly everything. Saba had made Typhon into the leader her now was, and the young wolf owed him everything. It was because of this that Ty now sought him out, for there were problems he did not know how to solve. So he stepped purposefully through the forest, headed toward the one place he had always been able to find the grizzled brute. Liandry Falls roared ahead of him, and as it came into view, he caught sight of a dark-coated male, though it was hard to tell who it was from the distance.
When he took a breath, his face fell slightly as he realized that it was not Sabaoth, and he chastised himself silently for being upset. Olympus was the wolf he saw, and his brother was just as helpful to his ruling as his uncle. There was no reason Oly couldn't help him, and besides, there were things to discuss with the male that were vastly more important than his own pain.
"My brother," he called loudly, to be heard over the crashing of the water before him. "Oly. I'm glad you're here. We have things to speak of. But first... how are you?" Typhon's voice was filled with relief as he spoke, his large paws carrying him right up to the similarly-sized wolf as a smile stretched across his muzzle.
