Changes have become too severe in Anikira, and the wolves have been temporarily relocated to the Anikiran Southern Isles. Things have grown dire and unlivable on the mainland; it was time for outside intervention. Please be sure to review the full update on the staff board for more information!
The current season is fall in the Southern Isles. Due to their proximity to the equator, the region is still warm. There is currently no breeding and no birthing amongst the wolves
Mythril wasn't aware what time it was, she didn't know if it was night or if it was day, so deep in the caves did she venture hunting for herbs and plants that she had completely lost tract of time. Captain would likely scold her in his playful serious way. But healing was all that she was worth, the only thing she was good for. So if she got a little to involved with it, oh well, it's just who she was and he would eventually have to accept that. She knew he worried over her, but it was something that couldn't be helped. If she had help then that would be something else. But it appeared, Vixen, the packs primary shaman was missing. And the medical stores had long since gone to waste and rot or were used up. She needed to replenish the supplies, at the very least the emergency supplies. So she worked diligently.
A sigh and a roll of those shoulders, along with the persistent rumbling in her stomach told Mythril it was far past time to tend to herself. Still she told herself just a little longer after all that patch of moss over there looks promising. And so this routine continued without a visible end. At times like these her mind wandered even as a portion remained on the task at paw.
This time her mind drifted over those she had met here thus far. From the beta, Captain, a grey brute who held her heart, to the white masked fae who was the alphas daughter. And then the all but silent Laurel and her raccoon companion Rocket. They were all welcoming, even Captain and Wraith had requested lessons in basic field healing. Rocket was simply a sweet charmer who Mythril adored. And Laurel was a strong presence that simply put the damaged wolf at ease.
Genesis was excited about her new life inside the caves of Aleru. The cave system was not as complicated as she had expected it to be, and she was slowly starting to be able to make her way around and find places that she had been to before. Getting out wasn't too hard either since the mouth of the cave was so large. Genesis had been able to find the way out the same day that she had gotten there... But she had also been able to follow a scent path back to where she had been before being accepted into the pack. However, the more she explored, the more she found different ways to get from one area to another, and the more she could get herself back to where she needed to be. The first couple nights had been a little rough, trying to get back to a place that she could call her den was not what she was best at, but she had eventually made it back to the den and had collapsed and slept for a long time after that trip. She had only met Fury so far, but that didn't bother her. She liked Fury, and she knew that she would meet the other wolves in time. She figured it was probably better the longer she waited so that she could get Ultoris' scent on her and not be seen as a trespasser. Though it was still a possibility, she figured if she smelled at least a little like these wolves, they would be less likely to attack her.
Sighing, she walked on through the caves, just exploring and not really looking for anything in particular. She needed to introduce herself to the healer of the pack -shaman, as she recalled- but she wasn't all too certain of where to find her. Genesis was destined to be a gatherer for the shaman, her disability restricting her from doing much else. Anything that involved rapid flashes of light to dark would send the wolf into a seizure. She wasn't sure what could be done for it, but she did know what caused it which was a good thing. She knew what to avoid which was the main reason she had come to live in these caves. They were dark and there weren't very many, if any at all, flashes of light to darkness. Suddenly, the earth toned female's ears shot forward as she caught sight of another wolf. She was a little nervous to introduce herself, but she figured that now was as good a time as any. And so, she let out a soft bark -because she had learned that the caves echo if you bark too loudly- and started to approach the other wolf, keeping her head semi-low to show respect and that she was not a threat. "Hello there... I'm new here. My name is Genesis." She said kindly, looking over the other female with a small, curious tilt of her head. She wondered if she was the shaman's gatherer right now and wanted another task which was where Genesis would come in and save the day for her.

A voice brought Mythril's attention from the task at paw, even as a brief flash of irritation arose she quickly stamped it out. After all she was in a packing and frequent interruptions were to be expected no matter how important a task she was performing. That cranium twisted about to cast pale moons towards The earthly molten female whose scent matched her words. Ultoris was not heavy on her pelt but it was there. The girls name meant nothing to the snowy white femme, the blackened tips of her guard hair all but lost in the darkness that surrounded them. Twin soldiers perked forward despite the slight flop in the left ear obviously split down the middle. Keeping her left side from view that cranium rose a fraction as she studied the other, from the brilliant spring of her eyes to the way she held her body. Eventually those jaws would part to release a voice roughen from lack of use. "Pleasure to meet you Genesis, I am called Mythril." She didn't bother giving the newcomer her rank, after all unless she injured herself they likely would never cross paths again. Reclusive and unsociable the packs Healer had attempted to socialize but apparently nothing had changed, she wasn't any good at it no matter what Captain wished to believe.
Silence had fallen over the fae, the cool clear yellow of those washed out pale eyes never strayed from the female, eventually she would raise her voice once more in a softly spoken question. "What had brought one such as yourself into the depths of these caverns, there is little of interest to most down here.." While true it did not mean the area was a place to avoid, simply that it did not receive much traffic beyond the healer and her assistance. If there should ever be one.
Genesis only felt a little bad about interrupting the task that the female seemed to be very focused on. From what Genesis could tell, though, she wasn't too upset about it... If she was at all, that is. Genesis hadn't ever been the best at picking up if another wolf was upset or not. She had always been able to calculate reactions and outcomes, but within a social situation, she was almost hopeless. Tried though she might, she would never be witty or charismatic. That was just one of her many flaws, though. She hoped that she might learn to detect sadness or even just annoyance, but presently, she was unable to do so. Therefore, the female could have been extremely upset by the presence of the earth-toned she-wolf, and Genesis would have never known. Genesis wagged her tail softly as the other female gave her name. What a lovely name... She thought, though didn't think to compliment the she-wolf out loud. After all, she was probably not the one that named her that anyway.
Tilting her head, Genesis looked over the other female and then tilted her head. "I saw you gathering stuff... Are you a gatherer too? That's what I am... Or... Will be. I'm going to help the healer. It's about all I'm useful for." She said, keeping her voice kind and friendly. She didn't want any tension between herself and other members of the pack. And she felt as though telling the truth about yourself would gain the trust of your fellow packmates and make it less likely for tensions to form. The green-eyed wolf tilted her head at the other female's question as she thought about it. Nothing but pure curiosity... "Curiosity. I wanted to see if the cave wolves were real... And then when I got here, Fury was just so nice to me, and it felt like I belonged, you know? I felt safe and wanted despite my... Myself." She said, thinking that she might not want to tell every member of the pack that she came across that she had a condition that caused seizures. Eventually, they would all need to know, but she felt as though she should save it for at least a little later in the conversation when she found out more about this wolf.

In an effort to provide the least restrictve roleplaying environment available, Anikira and their staff are looking to move to the Proboards paid forums. This forum would allow unlimited writing freedom to members, as well as an ad-free environment and our ability to customize the forum and its ratings/content however we choose! In order to do so, we will require your help! There is a monthly cost associated with this service, and any and all donations toward this goal are appreciated. Please use the PayPal link below for all donations for Anikira maintenance and moving costs. We look forward to a roleplaying environment where the sky is the limit!
Please note the donation page is listed under Uru's name as it cannot be listed otherwise without a business account. All funds associated with this PayPal account will be used directly for the maintenance and costs of Anikira, and hopefully soon anikira.com as our roleplaying forum.
This untraditional coupling is one of the truly loving matches in Anikira. Although they are members of two different species, Calantha and Rikez have overcome the differences and rose above, finding love in the most pure of ways. And from this pairing, a litter born of two loving parents was conceived. These little boys and girls will have the great honor of being raised by two parents that support each other, while many of the offspring in Anikira have not had such a benefit. The pair are truly fitting of one another; both kind-hearted and generally good individuals.
