"Hmmmmm....Buildings....Yes, yes I think I do, bu-"
"Bu? But what?" Crise's head tilted to the side in confusion, her audits folding against her cranium as the elder seemed to lose his current train of thought. His words had cut off in the middle of his sentence, and he'd suddenly laid down. "Kiminasom?" What was suddenly wrong with him? The brute seemed to be in some sort of trance. Had his old age affected his memory and left him as clueless as the femme herself often was? Oh, how she hoped not.
"Kiminasom, are you okay?" Concerned, and slightly scared, Crise took a few steps towards the old brute. She was very tempted to poke at his still form with a paw. In fact, she came very close to doing so. The right front limb hovered just to the side of the brute, slowly inching closer in a cautious attempt to make contact. The femme never actually poked him though.
As quickly as he'd laid down, the old brute was back on his paws. The fae's own limb quickly retreated back to her side, a nervous smile playing on her maw as she listened to his words. "-t they are to the north. A former human settlement lies there, and I'm not suprised that you met another wolf in that vicinity. There aren't any woods anymore, so that settlement provides the only shelter." It was so strange! Had he not realized he'd suddenly had some sort of mental relapse or something? The brute's words had picked up exactly where they'd left off, as if nothing had happened at all.
Crise couldn't help standing there, staring at his form with her mouth slightly agape in awe and confusion. What in heaven's name had just happened? For the life of her the femme couldn't figure it out. The event replayed in her mind over and over as if it were a broken record. It wasn't normal for someone to have such a gap in their sentences! The fae was so much so absorbed in her own thoughts that the old brute then thought it necessary to remind her not to dawdle.
Maw snapping shut, she quickly called, "Coming!" She then sprinted after him, slowing only when she had reached his side. Luckily it was a sprint of only a few feet, no where near far enough to send her into another blackout. For several moments she was silent as they walked. Crise was a curious critter, however, and she couldn't help finally blurting out the questions on her mind. "Kiminasom... Are you alright? What happened? You just sorta, shut up for a few minutes... Are you okay?"
