It was lucky that Denali's last schizophrenic attack had happened at the lake. It meant she wouldn't have another lapse in mentality any time soon, or at least for the rest of the day. For that she was thankful, for wolves just seemed to keep appearing out of nowhere. Granted, maybe witnessing a babbling, paralyzed wolf would have been enough to scare some of the intruders away.
The appearance of these strangers certaintly was troublesome. Thier sudden appearances seemed to be having almost as much of a negative effect on Exodus as herself. The harsh tone in which he spoke was enough to make the dirty fae tremble, and her tail tucked between her legs. A low growl began to rumble in her throat, and it refused to cease as conversations began to be carried on. Her mind was too panicked to process anything that was said, and slowly she began to inch towards Taurus.
Filled with pity, fear, and even some anger, Denali managed to cease her growling by the time she reached the side of the off-white brute. Before she left, which she was definately going to do now thanks to the fright all these new wolves had given her, she had wanted to thank him. She also had a word of thanks to give to the black alpha, but first she insisted on dealing with Taurus.
In a low whisper, she looked directly at him as she spoke. "Thank you for letting me tag along with you for a while. For sanity's sake I can't stay here any longer. I'll see you around, Taurus." She managed to offer him a friendly smile despite the troubling emotions welling inside her that made her want to cry. As brief as their odd aquaintace had been, the female held quite a bit of respect for the cold brute. She hoped they'd meet again, even if it was only so he could laugh at her for running away from another bird.
Turning away from him, she approached the base of the rock Exodus had perched himself upon. Scraping together what little sanity she still held a grasp on at the moment, she managed to straighten her posture enough to fully look up at the unstable brute. In the short time she'd known him, the black brute had also gained quite a bit of respect from Denali. Judging by the way he had started to handle all the intruders versus the way he'd delt with her upon their first meeting, it was a little obvious to the femme that he didn't have a perfectly sound mind either. The fact that he had taken on the responsibilities of alpha despite that fact amazed her, as did the way he had handled her after her episode at the lake. Yes... Along with Taurus, Exodus had definately earned her respect.
"Exodus, sir, I thank you for your brief company," she began, her words just loud enough to hear as she fought to keep a stammer out of her voice. "I am taking my leave of you now. Dealing with them is something I am not up to. Farewell." Her stress on 'them' showed she was not fit to deal with all the extra company.
Had it just been just her and Taurus lurking around with Exodus, she probably could have brought herself to stay. Had she been in a happier mood, she would have loved all the company. But, she was angry and depressed, and so many strangers had appeared so suddenly that the insane wolf didn't know how to deal with it all at once. He mood only plumited with each minute that passed, and the sooner she got out of there the better it would be for herself.
Lowering her front half, she bowed to the alpha brute before turning to leave. Her pace was slow while she was visible to all the other wolves. Walking past Taurus, she gave him one last pathetic smile. She then bolted away the minute she reached the tree line.
Sprinting as fast as her legs would carry her, Denali couldn't help the frustrated howl that left her maw. The others at the clearing probably could have heard her painful song, but she didn't care. She just wanted to get as far away as she could for a while. Maybe one day she would return, howling at the boarders to give a friendly 'hello' as she wandered around the continent. Right now her goal was the Chamoru Plains, or maybe get back to the beach, and her quick moving paws didn't cease in their running until they landed on the unclaimed soil of free lands.
