The white brutes smile widened. Avani seemed very happy that Vee agreed to her offer. This made the young wolf happy also. Vee now knew he wouldn't be alone. He'd always have someone nearby... A companion perhaps. He knew for sure he had a friend.
Though silence was Vee's natural lifestyle, at this moment... It seemed extremely quiet. The small femme wasn't talking. She seemed focused on something. This made Vee nervous. Was danger near? Vee pointed his pale nose to the sky, but didn't smell anything odd. His eyes dropped back down to her level. Her eyes shifting from the mountains in the distance, to the nearby river, back to the sandy area which they sat, then to the ominous forest.
Vee red irises glided in the directions Avani looked also. Not quite sure what she was looking for. He sensed her gaze towards him, and the ivory male glanced back as she started to speak.
"Point in which direction you suggest we go, and I will follow."
Vee sat like a statue. Why was she asking him that question? He thought he was her follower, her apprentice. Vee's pale lips creased into a thin line, as his eyes glazed the same pattern of the terrains. How am I supposed to know... I came from the forest. I don't want to go back... Vee shuttered, the fur on his back rose as he shook. That place was dreadful, something frightening flew around that forest, which gave Vee the chills.
His gave fell upon the river once more. He knew for a fact it was impossible to swim across. The river's rapids were too swift, and in the condition Avani was in, Vee knew she wouldn't have the strength to withstand the current. The albino brute was curious what laid upon the other side of the river. Was there a paradise over there? Vee always wondered.
Vee's last option was to remain in the desert until Avani was fully healed. There was no shelter, but they could manage. Here at the river, the heat wasn't unbearable. The fish was plentiful. And there were many hares running around the desert. It was the night time he was worried about. Without proper shelter, they were vulnerable at night. Who knew what kind of mysterious creatures ventured the nighttime? Not to mention the snakes. Vee was worried about another snake bite that might happen.
The brute frowned and shrugged slightly. But what else could they do? They had nowhere else to go unless they traveled to the eerie forests in the distance. Vee nodded, stomping his white paw in the sand multiple times, hoping she could understand that he thinks it would be best to stay in the desert. His red eyes watched hers, his face hard with a serious expression.
