Dewet sighed, her head on her paws as she continued to glance over at the small gathering. Krever and the striped wolf were still fighting, regardless of the Mexican female's intervention, and Dewet sighed. Why did females seem to battle more than males? Was it just because females hated their own sex or was it something else, something deeper? From now on, she vowed to stay well away from the chocolate omega, who even in the short time that they had known each other, Dewet had classified as slightly bipolar.
She was certainly willing to start fights, that was for sure. Dewet sighed. Maybe Zethrox, if he did finally decide to intervene, would break up the little chick fight. Not Dewet. She never was the authority-carrying type and never would be. Sure, she'd had her eyes on the beta position in some pack or another for a while, but that chance was wiped away in this pack by a single move, a loss of her temper that should have been left to the alpha. Dewet wanted to scream at herself for her decision.
Then, she heard the shuffling of paws on the ground as the new wolf came over and talked to her in a soothing tone. "Well, it's just... I hate violence... and what's happening... well... I couldn't help myself." Dewet said, lowering her ears against her skull and bowing her head. "But thank you. Are you the newest member of Haishin?" Dewet questioned, wolves certainly seemed to be popping up and joining this pack rather quickly. "If so, welcome. And I don't believe that I caught your name..." Dewet was surprised at the loyalty of these wolves, willing to help her out when she felt down. All except for the Krever, the omega.
As more spat vocals echoed in the air, Dewet turned to see the chocolate female glaring at her, blood dripping from her pelt. "Ugh... please excuse me." the Mexican said as she walked over to where the two females lay on the floor. "Well, my dear little omega, if you say that I talk too much, how can I deny it?" Dewet said, smiling. "I would shut up if you didn't spit swear words at me every five seconds." she continued, her tone hardening slightly. When Dewet finally spoke up again, her tone was like a cracking whip, it sounded so low and menacing. "I am truly sorry for the loss of your friend, but you need to let go of the past. Things die, whether we like it or not."
Dewet knew she probably sounded like the cruelest person on earth at the moment, but she was speaking the truth. If you didn't move on in life and forget about the past, how could you have a future? But the female didn't seem to know that. As yet more words poured from her maw, Dewet rolled her eyes. Krever didn't even know what she was saying, and she talked too much. Her mouth needed to be permanently shut, in Dewet's honest opinion. As she screamed to the striped female, who Dewet now knew was named Zhen, that she would kill her someday, that was the last straw for the Mexican female.
A loud bark rang through the air as Dewet sprang in front of Krever's path, keeping her from trying anything funny with Zhen. "Do not threaten her." she snarled, her words laden with acid and venom. "Want to know why we really keep you here, you stupid female? Because we have hearts, we do care about you, but not for much longer if you keep acting this way. We keep you from living life as a loner and starving to death without your friend, whoever the heck he was, since you obviously can't let go of the past."
"But I'm surprised that you were even let into the pack, with that kind of attitude. I have been taught to be respectful to all omegas, but you haven't given me a chance because of your clouded judgment and foolish decisions. You know what I think?" Dewet leaned in closer to Krever until their muzzles were practically touching. "I think you'd be better off dead!"
With that, Dewet turned and flounced back to her spot on the cavern floor. Sighing, she curled up again and kept her eyelids half open, so she could listen to the conversation in the cavern. Dewet sighed again. Why did everything seem like it was falling apart right in front of her today? Ah well. Maybe she'd hear the puishment for Krever for fighting a pack member, and the Mexican female half hoped that Krever would be forcibly removed and left to fend for herself. The chocolate female caused nothing but trouble.
