Zahir had erupted into chaos. It had suffered from one freak accident after another; it always had. When change hit Zahir, it it the pack hard. Unfortunately, or maybe it was fortunate, the wolves of Zahir were stubborn. They refused to accept failure. They refused to settle for anything less than what it was they most desired. And most importantly, a certain ghost absolutely despised chaos. She hated when things were not under her control. Lucky for her, her darling host didn't handle all the confusion so well either. A desire for things to again settle down further unitied them, forcing the two souls to settle much more rapidly than if they'd been left to their own devices.
Voices swirled around them as Alya and Irirangi warred for total control, their powers too evenly matched to allow one permanent dominance. Their souls mingled and twisted around one another, filling every space of Iri's body possible. They even missed Kaoru's Irina comment as they continued to settle into the now croweded space. Arguements and curses were kept silent from their packmates, the words echoing between their own minds only. All thoughts could be heard by the other, their minds no longer private. On the bright side, when she an Alya argued it would no longer seem like Irirangi was talking to herself.
Finally the two spirits settled, their new mental link both a blessing and a curse. Though they could no longer curse the other's stubborn existence, they could identify which moments were most imperative for either one of them to have control at any given time. Irirangi knew when she should shut up and let Alya take over, and Alya was smart enough to return Iri's body in favor of contemplaiting the situation. As it was, the pair now held twice the formidable aura they each did on their own. Irirangi's face was stone cold and eerie calm as they both observed their strange family, digesting the chaos and silently forming a plan to restore peace.
Finally Irirangi spoke, Alya in control. "Be still, my darlings," she barked out, the Maned fae's body beginning to pace about. Their head was held high, tail errect in a display of dominace only the deceased Iranian would dare show in front of Vee. The Tundra brute was still alpha, after all. They would not strip him from his position. Vee's image as leader was a powerful one, on superficial terms at least. It also meant he had to do all the dirty work while Iri and Alya could sit back and plot. While Vee marked borders and greeted tresspassers, Alya could contemplate what was best for Zahir. Irirangi simply enjoyed the chance to relax and not having to fuss about menial leadership duties that she hadn't wanted to begin with.
Alya was still in control as Iri allowed her to try and diffuse the situation. Their glare was chilling as it examined each wolf that was before them. Poor Dura seemed to be suffering a mental breakdown, and Vee's pups were spooked beyond belief. Vee seemed to be holding his own pretty well. Kaoru, on the other hand, looked worse for wear. He was definately in need of a meal and some rest after his long journey to Salen.
"I want you all to take a deep breath and calm down. You're giving puppet a headache." 'Will you stop calling me puppet!' Iri snapped mentally, though she was ignored as Alya continued. "Zahir has again lost an alphess. Avani's final fate is still unknown, but she is no longer with us. Avani's children, however, have been returned to us. Zahir has heirs, and the pups now have their father. Everyone is present or accounted for, and as such you should all settle down. I will not let Zahir die again! We can suffer nothing worse than what we've already been through. For now we should settle down and plan for the future."
Alya's voice fell quiet as she retreated to the recesses of Irirangi's mind. The Maned femme was again in control, and with her restored power she halted her body dropped to the floor. Mentally she was exhausted. A chance to calm down and simply think would do the entire pack some good. She held back any snide comments she had wanted to make, knowing Alya was right. Now was not the time for confrontation. Right now it was best they all settle down. As she lay her head atop her paws, she let her eyes wander over her packmates, a deepset scowl on her maw. They were quite the troubled group, but they were family. They were her family, and she hated to see them in distress.
