Nashira despised the slight discomfort that was lurking underneath of her skin. For the first time in her life she nearly felt incapable. The back of her mind knew it was simply her emotions on the run since the amount of events that had occurred recently. She had gone from believing that the War God would hopefully take her in as an apprentice and train her, to discovering that he was her own flesh and blood. The thought made her head spin, the Mexican female had never permitted herself to consider having a father. Mother and her had always done just fine on their own - they didn't need anyone. Well, they didn't admit to needing anyone. Luckily, her exterior remained stoic. The last of her visible tension had faded away. Once more she was able to stand strong and stoic on the outside, 'at least this turmoil is trapped in my head.' The thought held some comfort to it.
Her brown gaze twisted itself to the Alpha for a moment, "Of course, sir, I look forward to it." With a slight bow towards her new superior she silenced herself. Nashira had never experienced true pack life before, it had always seemed that her mother had isolated them from the others for the most part. Taking direct instructions from an Alpha was making the female slightly concerned, the last thing she needed to do was fail. 'You won't, don't doubt yourself.' One deep breath, and the female slaughtered all negativity. She could do this. It was a fairly simple task, one that she had performed many times before. There was absolutely no reason that it could not be done again now. All that she had been lacking was her own self-confidence, which had proved numerous times in the past to be vital.
For a moment her eyes caught Hadrian's glance once more, he had faith in her. It was totally apparent and worth more encouragement than he could even realize. Knowing that he supported her created a new power surge within her bones. She felt like a fully charged battery pulsating with electricity, ready for the task at hand. Her eyes scanned the rest of the pack members, 'we have this.' Her paws began carrying her forward alongside the rest of the pack, her auds perked themselves upon her head. All were awaiting the sound and scent of their future dinner. A part of the Mexican femme was exhilarated by the event placed before her. It was not a test for merely her, but for several of them. Their usefulness would be proved and hopefully the Alpha would end up satisfied in the end. That really was all that mattered, right? As long as Kiddo thought that all of them were hard working and able-bodied then she would have a home. Perhaps some of the others would receive ranks, but all she needed was the opportunity to stay with her father. At this point little else truly mattered.
Her stance lowered itself significantly closer to the ground, the thought of her father faded away. Now was serious business, all of the emotional mushy things faded away into the confines of her mind. They could be resurrected at a later time; however, Nashira, was not going to permit herself to be distracted by anything. As Evuwisp had mentioned all of the wolves needed to work together, and this would be especially difficult. A brief glance at the other canines brought another wave of confidence throughout her. All of them appeared strong and intelligent, it would be easy for them to take down at least enough to feed them. Even if it was two smaller animals. As long as there was food they had succeeded, failure only truly happened if they went hungry. Of course - one large animal in its' prime was ideal.

Lynker was only half-listening as the others sorted out who was doing what. Evuwisp caught his attention briefly as she gave the job of the killing bite to Artemis and he nodded before he returned his gaze to the trees. The black wolf was glad that he had been taken out of the spotlight, as he was most comfortable simply helping unnoticed in the background. He wasn’t really important in this hunt – of course he would do what was asked of him to the best of his ability but Evuwisp, Artemis, and Nashira were really the ones being tested here. He didn’t know any of the three females, but he wanted them to suceed. Amar was short on hunters at present and they needed food if they were to last the winter in good health so any wolf skilled at hunting would be beneficial to the pack.
Finally everything seemed to have been sorted out and they set off in search of prey to hunt. Lynker found himself taking a spot near the back of the pack as they walked, where he could see all of the wolves around him; six wolves moving together towards a common goal. This was Amar. A year ago it would have been near impossible to imagine himself in such a situation, but now here he was, hunting with a real wolf pack. He wondered whether this would be similar to the life he would have had if his mother had never taken him away from his birth-pack, Ramaar, and he had never been taken in by the bear family. Why had she done it? To this day he still didn’t know. He certainly didn’t regret his friendship with Curse though, and wouldn’t give it up for anything. Astra and Ria too, although he hadn’t seen that leopard around since the bear hunt. A frown crossed his face; he would have to search her out later and ask her what she thought she was doing (although tracking the sneaky leopard would be easier said than done).
